Sun revering race not allowed to use sun colors… This and more at 5:00
It actually would with how lightforged is shown. It’s an unfortunate circumstance that blizz took that I wish they didn’t.
Nor is it about you.
If you put them fully armored next to each other, with helms you’ll notice very little difference between both except the ears.
Funny, I was told they don’t revere the sun, only have it as a symbol of freedom from the NE’s.
They kinda are actually, maybe except for the trolls, but you can tell the difference from the 2. The ones you guys are putting up has very little difference from the LFD versions.
NB had NE colors before we had yours. It was actually a meme when they where first announced.
It’s silly that you want to steal others themes for yours but then complain when others steal themes from you.
The yellows you guys are using isn’t sun colors.
You didn’t have it first, you won’t have it last.
This thread is absolutely about Belves. It is not about Lightforged Draenei.
To be fair, the phoenix seems to be their main motif. But yeah, the gold color seems predominant for sure.
Pretty sure draenei are more ancient though. Whether they had that first or not, that’s another story
And admittedly, tattoos in general are long overdue, but what I really want it’s beards.
I really don’t expect much from Blizz after all.
And the posture, and the fact that they look emaciated.
You can’t say horde got the NE model when VEs are literally blood elves with a coat of paint.
Trolls used gold very likely before them. Not that there is some trademark anywhere in the universe on the color gold.
You claiming that trolls did it first, it’s as unnecessary as him claiming that LF have a monopoly on gold.
Draenei are ancient, like seriously ancient even for Azeroth’s standards.
the nightborne has its own colors and there are only 3
not the same

Well he’s talking about markings they didn’t even get until the end of Legion unless there’s some lore from something before that.
When they got it it’s irrelevant thought (And considering that we’ve only met them at the end of Legion, that doesn’t mean they got it right before we met them either), what matters is that it’s part of what they are, and I get that too.
However, if they did come up with elven runes and patterns, those could work for blood elves as part of what they are too, regardless of the color used for those.
Yeah that could work.
But the important point is too that no one has any control over the color or any exclusivity. It’s just a color. It’s on my armor right now. I’m not lightforged, lol.
As someone involved on other cough topics, I understand the importance of color palettes. But also the whole context matters too, and I do prefer things to remain distinct.
But in all honesty, the main reason why I stick to asking for just beards is because I don’t trust blizzard with taking the time to design something original for blood elves and I do fear they’d simply copy paste from LF draenei.
Probably true. But regardless, I don’t see the problem with farstrider tattoos that are golden because of the history with the sunwell. And it being a primary used color.
I don’t know, I’d personally find it as off-putting as a lock with golden eyes.
I could see if we were deciding to use something that Belves don’t normally use as a color scheme, but it’s really not.
As I said, just because it can happen in game doesn’t mean it makes sense.
A lock wouldn’t have any connection whatsoever with the Light portion of the Sunwell, it would be downright rejected… or create some very flashy fireworks, and not of the good kind.
They could copy paste from Zandalari trolls as well. I think the Zandalari ones look more like the ones seen on Rommath then the Light Forged ones do.
I also understand wanting distinction, still the Blood Elves use gold and they are not carbon copies of the Draenei model. If they were I could see not wanting to share the gold and yellow theme.
Yeah but like I said, they forgive that stuff a lot for ig stuff. And this isn’t that type of stretch anyway. It’s us using gold. Our theme colors are gold and red, with a little green. We are Christmas elves.
I understand reusing assets (one of these days I need to count up how many times they’ve re-used the Marrowgar model… they really like that one) but at the same time, we’re talking about a company that should have plenty of resources to come up with something original.
Zandalari patterns wold be ok, but at this point I’m kind of fed up with copies (and considering you know the topic I’m involved in, you should know why, heh).
we have blood elf tattoo mock ups in blue and yellow
you did really a good job with yours izz
can you try making the blood elf tats in green too, please?
