Big Blood Elf Customization Thread

I do not think the word head canon means is what you think it means.

Oh it absolutely does. You can’t have it both ways. Either everything in game counts as canon or some things are head canon that isn’t in the books.

Anything that blizz doesn’t state that the fans thinks is true is head canon. How about that?

Sorry but this is simply not true.

Just because a warlock can have gold eyes in game, it doesn’t meant locks have a connection to the light.

Well they stated a lot of stuff with their customizations, that canon doesn’t matter. So it’s moot to this discussion anyway.

very nice!!

I’m mostly messing with him thinking that because something isn’t canon it should not be a customization. It really has nothing to do with it. I’m not saying that gold eyes = the light. It’s this guy’s hang up. He thinks a gold tattoo means lightforged.

I do agree with the stance that some customizations should be limited by canon though.

However, I do agree that glowing runes wouldn’t take much from Lightforged, not only because they look nothing alike, but also because runes doesn’t automatically translates into lightforged.

They’d likely have several different tattoo colors too like they have for demon hunters, Orcs and Nelves. Or the paint on Tauren. It doesn’t always need to mean light or something else in canon. Just some fun RP stuff.

I’m perfectly fine with that! the alliance has all of our skins that were given to the void elves, it would be fair to have alliance skins like LF

They said themselves that wildhammer dwarves/the troll tribe customizations isn’t really canon but is lore appropiate as they are apart of the corresponding factions. A player that looks like a wildhammer dwarf is still an ironforge dwarf, but wildhammers is apart of the alliance, so they allow ppl to look like that for RP purposes.

Same with the troll tribes.

Same with the VE skin colors (hopefully they don’t get the hairstyle/colors non-currupted)

problem with “lightforged” blood elves is that they not only don’t exist, but is not lore appropiate. So even if they release them as RP tools, with blood elves being horde and the sunwell not being powerful enough, and the lack of the lightforging ritual, would not be appropiate for the horde to have.

Your more akin to arcane elves.

Gold tattoos does = lightforging since it’s the only way for it to be shown, and messing with people like that is trolling.

golden runes isn’t a light thing, runes is more of an arcane thing. Maybe even death magic kinda thing.

You guys have the night elf models, and while I don’t personally like the VE having the skin colors, I don’t think it justifies taking the light theme and belittling it from the lfd.

light is my strength!

It would be a good, distinctive thing for blood elves. Fitting to combine considering their history and consistent with the current nature of the Sunwell.

You know this just is not true.

I’m sorry midare, I disagree, the night borne is edited night elf models.

Gold tattoos don’t mean light anymore on elves than it does on Tauren. Calm down. Belves colors for our heritage armor is red and gold. Our sunwell is gold. Not everything is about you.

Butchered, rather (and I’m not a fan of night elves and find them ugly).

But if you put NB and NE, next to BE and VE, it’s clear as day which side actually has the model from the other side.

This here. Plus they are a sun revering race. They use gold in nearly everything. Their city, their jewelry, their heritage armor. It isn’t to farfetched to think they would use it in runes and tattoos that they paint onto their bodies. Besides it isn’t like Lightforged are the only ones allowed gold tattoos/runes. If they are someone better go and have some words with those Zandalari.

yes, the horde has the night elf model like the alliance has the blood elf model, but only the alliance was given horde skins.

I think all of us who play paladin and those who play priest will be very happy to have those light skins! also accentuates more the clonflict void elves vs light elves

That guy thinks because his race got something gold at the end of Legion that it invalidates Belves from ever using the color again. It’s the silliest thing.
