Big Blood Elf Customization Thread

I like both of those ideas! So like an…uncorrupted felblood elf. While I love felblood elves as they are, sun elves are intriguing. Especially if they get to keep those fangs

how do i reset armory so it updates? i’ve tried logging in for at least 10 minutes, logged out, exited game and checked other browser, nope.

I think it’s automatically, unfortunately :frowning:

I only see 500 error on everyones armory’s including my own.

Made this on WoWhead real fast with a blood elf!

Legit just seems like a toggle for red eyes and undead skins, boggles my mind why they don’t just give DK skins to everyone now since they already gave our hair, and then red eyes for

BLOOD ELVES.

Hope Blizzard is listening and we will get our red eyes soon.

Yeah I get that. When I bring up Light things I think a lot of the time people think I mean like… Lightforged stuff… I really don’t. Just a tattoo option that glows a little with like light pigments would be fine. Or maybe just some gems that are light colored for those jewelry options. (Yeah I know those aren’t popular)

Pheonix stuff though? Fiery stuff? I can’t say no to that. :stuck_out_tongue:

If they mixed them all the better for me personally.

Yeah aside from a few more shades of the Green, blue and gold eyes I also want to see some more tealish between the green and blue colorations to represent some more of the shifting from green to blue over time (Or for bonus points some green shifting to golden.), red and orange.

Red for both Dark Rangers and the Blood Animus of course.

Orange just for funsies mostly. Just feels like a color that would fit.

Sure, but what I mean more is that they’d have some differences. I know its probably more than blizzard is willing to do but thats what I personally want to see Void Elf wise.

Straight red eyes are just too much of a Blood Elf thing (well Dark Ranger and San’layn anyways.) for me.

Heres the general idea for N’zoth based reddish.

Yeah its something I’d expect for the human tattoos. Lets blizzard have every nation represented and at a fairly low cost. (I assume the Anchor and Gilnean Claws would be for Kul’tirans and Worgen respectively.)

Seems a bit wonky right now.

I wouldn’t mind Velves getting the N’Zoth eyes while Belves get regular glowy red. As long as enough variation is kept.

couldnt dark felblood wings work for san’layn concept, also?

Nah that’s fair. I think you’re presenting it in a nice way. Sorry I sometimes come off as … well. You know. I just… want multiple themes for blood elves, you know? And something that doesn’t put them into the box of only light, a contrast to void elves. I just wish Blizzard would put more nuance in the light and emphasize it’s use for noble purposes. Not some faith, but truly getting the magic because you believe in a cause. I think I’d ease up on it a bit more if it wasn’t pushed as like ‘end all be all good’.

I feel like the phoenix captures the idea of rising from the ashes of what happened so well, I love it so much.

I like all of these ideas ^^ Not to mention, orange is appropriate for fire mage anyhow, right? Since magic reflects in the eyes.

…granted, mage magic is arcane, and that’s covered by blue, so… but still, could work imo.

Oh I really love that for void elves, yeah. Deep glowing red for blood elves, and N’zoth for the void elves. Definitely sold there.

Yeah! I imagine if they were updated they would be SUPER cool. To be honest, felbloods and San’layn do overlap a bit, I would say felblood are even just another variant of vampire.

so for sun elf concept (look the wings are already like phoenix style or is that shoulders?), its a more fiery warm yellow.

My screen is on warm mode right now but I feel like if the greens there that I think I see are turned to reds, it would complement it well (or yellow)

that looks great

Blood Elves AT LEAST actively and culturally interact with phoenixes and similar magical birds (last time we saw they are literally raising up A´lar´s descendent -or should we refer to it as it´s reincarnation? well, the point is the hatchling of A´lar is getting fed and cared by the Belves. It´s feathers must go somewhere, right?).

The Light theme is deffinitely not as relevant nor terribly explored in the actual canon lore in Belf society (daily reminder that while Liadrin may act like your average Draenei weeb / long eared human, the rest of the Belf cast doesn´t. Their worship of the Light is the same as it was pre Third War: not terribly focused in actual religious dogma but more in the benefits they can get from that magical source).

I´d go a step further and suggest to use the normal artifact skin color scales from Felo´melorn as the basis for the different ombré styles -same principle than the one I suggested regarding the Claw of the Phoenix effect on the feathers; cause you guys now I´m a hardcore believer in giving the most colors available as possible-.

I´ll confess I´m still VERY ambivalent on the Felblood ideas -those guys frankly got a villain batting just as bad as the one Sylvanas got in BfA; worse of all the stigma stuck lorewise speaking since then to the point Fel may not be an acceptable practice to be exercised openly on Quel´thalas-. Frankly, avoiding that can of worms narratively wise and selling the tattoos, skin colors and feathery wings under a different explanation than “these are former Felblood” will be better imho (maybe suggest it as extra customizations derived from Illidari returning to Quel´thalas or blood magic mutations or idk… anything different from “survivors from Sunwell Plateau” fiasco).

Dailier reminder San´layn do NOT sport red eyes as per the actual in-game NPCs and that the idea was 100% suggested by Fallynn et al.

Oh absolutely, better yet in their own brand of N´zoth designs (daily reminder the “Emerald Nightmare” was sponsored by daddy N´zoth, NOT by Zooval).

The “but MUH red eyes exactly the same as Dark Ranger ones cause Alliance exclusive San´layn” BS was just that: BS born out of malice and ignorance, NOT out of genuine care for the “Old God / void” theme.

I disagree, the N´zoth styled eyes are deffinitely superior by design alone (more colors and an easier way to play with expressions with those).

It isn´t even a San´layn proper feature, none of the San´layn NPCs -not even Lanathel- sport that eye color.

Red eyes in the usual “elf lightbulb” design are 100% a Dark Ranger feature. Seen on other races like Dire Bleeding Hollow Orcs or Fel Orcs.

Excellent idea!!

Some Dark Ranger toons have this orange-y eye color.

Just sayin´

On the topic of Old God inspired eyes, why haven´t you people picked THE eye old God art features a.k.a. C´Thun eyes? (nice combination of black, purple and beige / light gold)

Heck, take an extra step and use Saronite Green too inspired by good ´ol Yoogy while at it.

People can mute perfectly fine if they feel bothered by it.

I know I muted Sara´s n-esim attempt at High Elf thread already.

You should still be prepared to deal with the usual trolls, though…

Considering the abominations they concoct lately, I rather they implement the stuff ala Wildhammer and don´t touch the Felblood can of worms story wise.

I shudder just thinking in the ways they can ruin Lor´themar et al in any attempt at justifying Felblood elves.

Maybe even pink as a nod to the phoenix theme now that I think about it.

We really need to explore the whole “phoenix eye effects” concept suggested by Fallynn. I know one person who will benefit from this.

I mean if they feel like acting like the lore police, then that brand of red eyes is the ONLY one they can get -not even the "muh nightmare!!! excuse will save them from the N´zoth style when we take into account N´zoth was the Sponsor of Xavius-.

My dear, if this game has proven anthing is that NO magic limits itself to one color. We have UNDEATH represented by white/silver (Kyrians), purple fire (Voss), red Orcs (Fel) and so on…

If phoenixes are part of the elemental plane and respond to arcane, then that means arcane comes in several colors that include blue but not limit to it.

Mmmm… make orange slightly more prominent, too much yellow tbqh.

A color scale from orange to white would be ideal tbqh.

The way the light should be in my opinion. Religious nonsense and the emphasis on ‘faith’ and ‘fighting for a higher power’ is so obnoxious and boxes in an idea that could be otherwise interesting. This is the issue druids run into as well. I LOVE loa & wild gods, but the reliance on it for non-drust druidism drives me nuts. I hate magic type restrictions like that.

At least the light isn’t restricted that way as much as people try to whine about non-humans getting access to it though, as it can be non-faith-based and more willpower based, the actual interesting path.

YEah I like this quite a bit ^^

Probably why I have yet to start the thread as much as I love them given we haven’t seen them since TBC aside from the Darkmoone Faire toy :frowning: Not even in Legion. This would have been a great time to antihero them but… yeaaaah they did not.

True, though there is one singular instance of it believe it or not!

if you view 3D and scroll in, her eyes are red. It’s the only instance of in-game red-eyed San’layn, and it is a BfA NPC. Vampyr red also is on the vampirates.

A pure jet black option would be far eerier, though.

This is the one instance. This helmet looks really bad compared to the rest of the gear, as an off-observation. It also led to discussions on San’layn rankings.

Neophyte versus Marquess/Marquis versus Blood Prince.

Weird thing is they didn’t use the red eyes for the male NPCs here. What does this tell me? They had and have no idea what they were doing with San’layn & the vampyr curse, and the wishes of the 'layn community will likely never lead to fruition.

Red eyes, though, should be given to blood elves for their use of blood magic (anima, as you said, something of a great idea I wish was expanded on their end) & dark rangers for sure, even if it’s shaky as an idea for 'layn.

Yeah I like the idea of orange & red, darker ember colors, added, the last one looked a bit too much like the light, this iteration I like a bit better color-scheme-wise

i just think of the san’layn video, where the artist decided to give red eyes to some

Red eyes with black sclera would be so neat.

Sadly just a lost dream like everything else we’ve talked about on that thread and in the video. I was more hopeful back then that we’d be listened to.

That turned out to be null -.-
