Random is random. Also you might wanna watch what you call people before you can’t post anymore.
Read and get someone to comprehend the discussion for you before commenting.
PREMADE RAIDS BYPASSING THE 5 MAN LIMIT TO GET THEIR RAID GROUP INTO BG’S IS NOT “RANDOM.”
And your little threat means what exactly? That you’re openly baiting people to try to get them banned?
It’s random. Random players and groups of players are matched together.
it means that it’s against the forum code of conduct.
How do you bait someone into calling you names? lol
Yep. You’re clearly trolling. On a level 15 alt nonetheless. Premade exploiter, huh?
What’s the difference between multiple 5 man groups queuing at the same time
Vs
40 solo players queuing at the same time.
The end result is likely the same. They end up on the same side of the same BG.
How do you fix / prevent that?
Disabling groups from queuing would not fix it, they can sync up solo ques.
Separating premades from randoms also would not fix it, once again they could sync up solo ques.
Removing factions and assigning people to a random team is the only thing I can think of. At least then it would put them on different sides.
Even removing faction has an issue, if the exploit is allowed to persist then the people that do it for griefing will more easily be able to place players on your team. 40 people on the other team is better than 20 + 20 on your team. We’ve bantered around the idea of a hidden ratings system to better match power, it’d be hard for them to get the same groups unless they drive their own rating down.
Cross faction is probably the most popular idea but I think they’re not thinking things through, it’s still desirable for a lot of reasons but I think just part of the sync queue solution.
But…but…plunderStorm.
LMAO.
I just don’t think win trading would become the meta if people got assigned random teams.
You sign up for a premade cause you want to win.
If majority of the premade gets on one side and you routinely end up on the chosen losing side (bless RNG), you probably wouldn’t keep doing it.
As for griefing because horde and ally mixed, we’ve already had mercenary mode long time.
I’m sure it would reduce the number of people doing it it’s just the ones that would continue because they like griefing won’t care about w/l and will have a new tool to do it.
Merc mode is much harder to sync.
what gets me is if you go to the bg forum it is clogged with posts about people being pissed at the premade in bgs, posts go back well…years about this, blizz claims they listen to the player base, but they sure as heck don’t when it comes to pvp.
It was established by the time I saw it in Wrath but I think there were more players to dilute them out. In SLands a lot of the casual players left when gear ilvl was higher for the rated players, I can’t speak for everyone but I felt it defined the casual PvP player as fodder. A lot of the casual player base left and a lot went to sync communities which raised their relative abundance. Discord made them more organized too, just a lot of factors have exacerbated the problem recently.
I used to love doing BG’s now I just can’t get into them.
at this point, epic bg communities are purposefully blocking players from getting just their daily done. this is game sabotage/griefing at the highest level and it’s disappointing blizzard does nothing about it. blah!
They openly admit on the forums to using addons and Blizzard definitely said no to those yet they still do nothing. I think they’re trying to move people out of BGs.
We’re not. That’s what it’s failing. lol.
Not enough people doing it for them to iterate on it.
Years of disincentivizing it so that raiders wouldn’t feel “forced” to do it has left it as a novelty. A side project. Unless you PvP enough on the ladder to make it worth it, it’s not. There’s no gear progression, even in that silo. It’s fraught with cheats and sales. Queue times are atrocious and the experience is terrible. There’s so much going on so fast that you often don’t even know you’ve made a mistake before it kills you.
It’s a nightmare. No one wants to do it.
Way back when Blizz hired Tigole and Furor, they doomed WoW PvP. They were explicit about their belief that PvP was a diversion where the best PvEers could flex their powerful gear more than anything else. That’s why vanilla and other early expansions had serious problems with PvE gear outperforming PvP gear. I have no doubt in my mind that queuing with guildmates and steamrolling people was not just acceptable for them, but the ultimate goal.
I don’t think they’ve died quite yet, but I hear the OP’s point. BGs are in the worst state i’ve ever seen them. Does blizz care? Doubtful.
Players playing with friends in an mmorpg ruined them for you?
I think they mean people who cheat to get larger groups.
