Win trading, avoiding competitive teams, the usual stuff.
The BG queue system is based on first in first out so people will either use a countdown or an addon which will queue several groups of 5 together so they have a competitive advantage over the people who don’t exploit. Basically, they can organize a 40 man team against random players and they farm them. Blizzard not responding to such a broken system seems an indication that they just don’t care because they’ve left it broken so long.
It’s too bad BGB isn’t better, all the goofy systems they put in to widen power gaps is the last thing I wanted. It’s apparently difficult but people are syncing into there too.
Yep. I actually like the concept of solo queue RBGs. But i don’t trust that blizz and/or the “more creative” players will make it an actually great game mode, i.e. something that most players will want to play and want to keep playing.
Probably the same reason streaming services come out with a new series then cancel them after one season even if they’re popular, it’s meant to bring people in not to keep them.
I wouldn’t call it dead. When something is dead it’s … dead. It’s not perfect, and like most things there’s always something to complain about, but people are still queuing and playing.
Actually it isn’t as simple as get good. Friday night went against the same pre-made twice in a row, all fully geared. Got stuck with the same two healers on my team with 50K health, not only were they super under geared but had no clue on how to heal. To be honest it has gotten ridiculous the amount of pre-mades I run into when I solo queue, and rather than at least put players on my team that are decently geared it is always players with 50k health or less.
They need to just reduce all healing by 90% in pvp at all times or they need to make utility/healing abilities cost 33% mana to use in PVP scenarios.
That could leave healing feeling not completely gutted and still impactful, but place a much larger emphasis on efficient healing usage.
There is absolutely no reason why 1 healer and 3 DPS should be able to beat 6 DPS. There is no reason why healers should be able to keep alive a kill target who has Mortal Strikes Debuff and 3 DPS using their entire burst.
You shouldn’t need a full team swap to a KT with purge spam, mortal strikes debuff, Stun/Blind DRs on enemy healers and sometimes a damn <35% shadow duel to kill 1 single person. Healing and personal def CDs are completely out of hand.
And then not all healers are equal. MW and Rdruid have infinite mana.
I think most would agree that would be a positive change. Nobody thinks its a thrilling idea that 4 DPS can full burst on a KT but 1 healer can keep them up infinite
Premades ruin it they should remain separate. Random BG’s should be random and only allow random players. It’s what makes it fun. Not controlled with teams of discord players just wrecking a bunch of random people who are not coordinating via voice.
So, here we are with another 2 hour “maintenance”… Lets look at fixes for PVP…
Yup… None.
1: Hunters don’t take up 30-40% of BGs now, they are hovering around 50%.
2: They are now doing 2.5x everyone else’s damage.
3: DHs still brokenly OP…
4: Some healers are Gods… Some are fodder.
4: Name plate bug going on month 3…
5: Queue times around 15 minutes, 50-50 shot at getting a game that is already a loss, you start 8 vs 10 or your team is GY camping the other.
6: Most of the time no one is playing objectives anymore, they are tired of the same maps. BGs are becoming just a giant death match or people trying to do the known exploits.
