BGs as Alliance aren't fun

I don’t pay attention to population or w/e. Someone said "Alliance has always been the underdog and I disagree with that. May have only been a couple of years, but they have been on top at least once that I remember. Almost always I would agree with

Nitpicking their grammar doesn’t change the fact that its true the majority of the time. The ‘but once’ argument has always been pretty lame.

‘Nitpicking’ another’s ‘nitpicking’ is pretty lame as well my friend. Hope you have a great day though :sunny:

I did not mean to start an argument, sorry. but the majority of the population Has always been horde. Even when we had Emfh Horde still had a good pop maybe not as many Alliance did back then but it was not overwhelming.

I made that statement because I will always be Alliance and I will never ever be Horde just my opinion that’s how I feel. just stop and think for a minute like Lasagna said two times Alliance had the biggest pop and It never was by a large margin.

I have not tracked my win/loss, but the grass is not greener…err redder on this side. I might as well hold up a white flag on Isle of Conquest

IOC is a case of how Blizz decision to buff docks have turned that BG pro alliance … alliance always played the same way , get docks and try for mid but Glavies used to be easy to kill. Now Glavies got buffed , Horde still goes Hanger and mid ( it’s slowly changing now as the losses pile up ) and alliance are suddenly winning more.

Unlikely story.

I once went on a mission to the moon, I had a photo but the dog ate it and then the cat ate the dog.

So I made dim sim and now I guess it’s a circle of life kind of thing.

Glaives still get demolished on alliance side since it’s so wide open with three different attack points for horde. The horde glaive placement is across the water and across a defendable bridge. The attack points for alliance to the horde glaives are tighter making it easier to paint them with blight. I have noticed a considerable lazy factor on alliance to get to the horde glaives since it seems “so far” compared to just sitting on the walls hoping for a carry.

I am alliance and I always go to hangar even if I’m alone since I’d rather have a pug in an auto piloted vehicle. I do not enjoy IoC but it’s my best chance of winning with WG in second and AV, which was my fave, in a distant third due to the horrible loss rate.

Well horde players are so unaccustomed to getting Glavies in the first place that some
attack the west gate and some attack the east gate . Horde performance in IOC is not up to usual since the buffs

Found a post with a reflex that was similar to mine. So how was the moon?

So pip got it and your trying to piggy back off her success?

Good this time of year, the dim sum was also excellent.

Not piggy backing at all. I explained earlier that my reflex was somehow deleted and I don’t have an imgur account. You then passive aggressively insinuated I was lying. I’m just presenting you a visible form of what I, and apparently others, have experienced horde side.

So your proof just deleted its self, like my dog eating cat after my dog ate the proof and then I ate them all?

Hmm sounds like it never happened.

Nah not just you. Random bgs as Alliance are quite painful for me too, especially epic bgs.

I faction changed an ally Spriest I pvp’d with during WoD. Leveled him to 120 and started queueing randoms at all different times of the day. My current ratio for just this season is 49 - 24, which is a ~67% win rate. I know 73 bgs isn’t that large of a sample size, but it certainly is a hell of a lot better than my Alliance main’s random bg winrate.

And it isn’t just the winrate, it’s how the teams play. On a majority of the bgs I’ve d one as Horde just this season, the team play and personal skill levels are far better than they are on Alliance.

The negatives I do have to say is that Horde is really filled with a bunch of manbabies and trolls. The bg chats are often insanely toxic; even when we’re winning people are trolling and insulting each other non-stop. I just ignore bg chat entirely on my Horde toons now.

Tell you what.
I will research on how to somehow get my reflex history back. If I succeed I will post the results specifically for you. If I don’t I hope you enjoy eating your pets.

They were stray so it’s ok, I took them in and fed them.

Something else to consider is that ragequitting and leaving bgs early (like happens so frequently in Alliance bgs) won’t even show up on your character’s PvP stats page. When you leave a losing bg it’s almost like the match never happened… it isn’t recorded at all

For example, I did the math and I have about a 42% win rate in epic bgs on my Alliance… but there’s no way that’s accurate considering how often I just afk out of losing epics. If I had to guess, a my “actual” win rate in Ally epic bgs is probably down around 30-35% when you factor in all the times I’ve left early.

My Horde toon allegedly has an 88% win rate in Wintergrasp, but there’s no way that’s accurate either since I afk out of Wintergrasp like 90% of the time

Hey mind if I ask when this buff happened? I’ve been sticking to randoms so I haven’t been in IOC in a bit.
Glaives were paper so it was easy to defend against them if they were used before. But this is from alliance point of view.

Glaives got buffed in 8.1.5, so back around March i think

The glaives are still pretty easy to kill, but I think the reason Alliance is “suddenly” doing better in IoC is that they simply have more experience with docks than the Horde does.

For years and years, docks was the “default” strategy for Alliance, so like 99% of Alliance casuals “automatically” know how to play docks. Horde casuals are less familiar with docks, that’s all.

Tyty! That’s weird then it was before I shifted to more randoms.
It’s probably because I always stay defense but they never seemed like a big deal to me. It was so quick to kill them if they were left undefended for even a second. It is true I didn’t see horde use them often but thought it was the squishyness that was a turn off not that they didn’t understand/want to use the strat TIL
