BGs as Alliance aren't fun

Maybe it’s just me but I always have a bad time q’ing as Alliance, really tempted to go Horde but don’t want to contribute to the faction imbalance.

Been trying to win this brawl but no matter what I do Alliance manage to lose in the end.

Problem I’m seeing is that Alliance are all over the place whereas Horde stick together most times and they know who to target and attempt to CC but watching my allies fight I’m seeing some at BS, some at LM and some at Mines but always apart. Never together and they get steamrolled going in 1 at a time. During the fight they are targeting DPS while the Healer is keeping them up so I try to CC them until full DR on my CC but it isn’t followed up on so the DPS get topped off.

It’s frustrating and Alliance can’t be talked to cause they are mindlessly doing things and tell me to shut up and I’m not even being rude. I’m calling stuff out and telling them to follow up on cc or go healers and cc dps, I tell them go in as one and not one at a time but nope, I get told to shut up.

Sigh…

Just do it. Track your wins with reflex, see that your averages are still in the vicinity of 50% as horde, and then go back to the faction you prefer.

On Horde it may be 50% but as Alliance it feels like 0%.

I started playing mostly Blue side in November, and am sitting at just above 50% wins at max. Something like 119-103 according to Reflex.

My Horde side win rate was higher (around 60) but the queues just killed it for me

I totally feel you.

I opened a thread just yesterday night about it. This week’s brawl has been a hell for alliance, and it is beyond any compare. I never struggled this much by going into 8 miserably lost BGs in a row. I finally managed to do my quest in the 9th, and I’m not kidding at all (I wish I was).

What I saw and have been seeing was exactly what you described. I tried to go both as healer and dps to see if anything changes, but unfortunately no success.

When I’d go as a healer I begged for my team to target their healers and get their dps off of me, but what they did was to target their dps instead. Of course their healers would top them off while all the dps was on me. How am I supposed to keep up with the heals with thousand of interrupts, stuns and whatnot that weren’t even cared about while their healers are free to sit there and hit the heals as they wish? In other words, go as a healer is rather frustrating, since you feel helpless in a team that doesn’t support your heals and effort.

This is so much true that, in the 9th try I got to find a really good DPSer, which stuck with me at Stables and killed one by one who would approach, CCing as needed and helping me defend the flag. All I did was CC and keep him topped, in the end we won the BG, just us two in one flag while the others were on theirs.

Ultimately, this is what I’m talking about. Most, if not 80%, of alliance are very noobs at PvP, and the few good ones moved into Horde to play this aspect of the game.

Well, for now I’m done with BGs for a while.

That’s not mathematically possible :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

What’s the diff between the brawl the old AB except for the snow . Nothing as far as I can see

Which is pretty limited in the snowy blizzard.

Yeah but for some reason Alliance act like they have no clue what to do now that snow has appeared. I also had a horrible night last. I couldn’t win an epic bg or brawl for hours. I finally got my wins after 9pm when the kids went to sleep…

Ya but the map is the same… I mean everyone knows the paths blindfolded by now.

I lost 1 and won 1. Both close games.

I lost 5 of the new brawls and a number of AVs (a lot of the AVs I came in at the end of) It was a pretty sad night. I’m pretty casual and I just do it for the conquest and the love of BG’s but god damn did my teams suck.

I have characters on both alliance and horde. Both sides wins equally.

But what I noticed is, depending on the time of the day, the same side wins/lose more. There are times I cant get wins on 1 side, I switch and win on other side.

So my advice is, if you only have characters on 1 side and can’t get a win for a quest or whatever, give it a break and try it again on another time of the day.

I have a rule that applies to most types of pvp games (not only wow): after a 3 streak loss, I stop playing. It’s a golden rule and it helps a lot

I would advice against doing epics especially on weeks like we have now when there is both brawl and arena quests available . Epics should be the last choice especially on alliance side .

You’re kinda cute.
When I was horde my win % over 100+ games via reflex was over 80% solo queuing normals and epics. My win % as alliance the last month or so is 33% via reflex. Same objective playing person but something has changed

The only positive thinking I have when q’ing BGs as Alliance is that the struggle might make me a better player but when I feel myself getting overly frustrated to the point where I want to punch my wall. I call it a night and play piano.

That’s impossible , I play horde too.

Yeah no. General 80% loss-rate as alliance with blizzard doing absolutely nothing about the faction imbalance. At this point they should delete alliance as a faction.

I don’t win 80 percent of my games as horde … I would say slightly more than 50 precent in randoms and close to 60 percent in epics .

What’s the Alliance win rate on piano?
