A good team with bad leadership and poor direction will still produce a terrible product.
Or perhaps the raid logger in charge never gave any thought to anything outside the raid?
The company is run by marketing people and number crunchers now, and they would see massive downvotes as poor marketing of their product. So its not surprising they delisted it. Theyâd probably take it down if they thought that would work in their favour.
If someone doesnât come back because of a cinematic, they werenât going to come back anyway.
Hmmm I guess Iâm the only one whoâs dumb enough to get lured into wow after seeing cool cinematic then.
Because you know, the first thing someone (whoâs not playing wow) will see is the cinematic, not 2 hours raid bosses fight. I shouldâve check out the raid boss fight before I purchase.
The days of people taking criticism from their customer base and having a microsecond of introspection are apparently over. If someone reacted to my work product this poorly, I would be questioning my design decisions and direction immediately.
Hubris is a hell of a drugâŚ
Taliesin and Evitel are already on the case. 34 minute long video analyzing the genius and subtext of it.
Blizz could literally spit in a customerâs face and those two would defend what Blizz did.
Not that Blizz would do it but Blizz can do no wrong to them.
Funny enough, just saw the video from them about it, and not even Taliesin could defend the damn thing (well, most of it). That shows how bad they screwed this up haha, not even their biggest shills could put a good word out.
A few changes I think would help the final cut scene.
-
Champions entering and being given a less then pleasant greeting by Nâzoth. Something to show his power and that he means business
-
The champions should not break Nâzoth attempt to control them alone something or someone should step in and help.
-
The beam from Azeroth should not just strike Nâzoth right off the bat. Nâzoth should be shown fighting back as hard as he can before the beam finally overwhelms and strikes him down.
-
ClosureâŚfor all things in this world a scene showing true closure to all thats happend.
Lich king fight is what a fight against a major lore figure should look and feel like.
Yeah what went wrong was it was a story focused primarly on the faction war, which is never a good story since it pits player base against player base, and blizzard never has the courage to actually kill off a main character. So you end up with really half baked mcguffin stories.
BFA was at least coherent in everything up until the assault on the troll city, then it all went nuts.
But they had a heavy amount of dislikes.
Yes. There was a statement from J. Allen Brack in which all the winnings went back to Blitzchung, and his suspension was reduced. On top of that he was given the option to return to Grandmasters.
Its hard to find a company that gives a one about what people think of Microtransactions, EA and Bethesda are clear examples that just dont care
I meant Blizzcon, plus there was other issues besides Blitzchung
So if they donât care then why would they unlist their video? (Based off of your logic)
Why does Blizzcon matter? And where are you going with this? I donât even know what youâre talking about.
Sauron has been defeated and the eye is no more. The denizens of middle-earth can now live in peace.
Two different videos that have nothing to do with each other
The whole drama happened just before Blizzcon, and it really escalated, and like i said before even the reduced punishment was still to long
Blizzcon was their chance to fix the whole issue but it was just a fake apology
But they have everything to do with each other. They both had a lot of dislikes and were on the official World of Warcraft youtube channel. You still need to answer my question and not avoid it.
So what does this add to the conversation?
How was that a fake apology? J. Allen Brack went up there for a good 5-8 minutes right when Blizzcon began, and apologized sincerely.
They also fixed it when they⌠well⌠fixed it. Blitzchung got rewarded, the casters only got a suspension, and Blitzchung is allowed to return.
They apologized for punishing him too harshly, and Blitzchung is fine with it. He said heâs probably going to come back to the game.
I just watched the cinematicâŚ
So bad. So stupid.
Ugh⌠one was the end of an expansion and a really important character, which was a severe disappointment
The other is selling a mount
Nothing to do with each other
Because its was still to long? so didnt do much to help the whole situation
It was basically âwe did bad, wont happen againâ
But they never mentioned what they actually did bad, or how they were gonna do to fix it.
Holy cow⌠Iâve never seen a video buried so far deep. The intricacies of lore must always be sustained or you will lose your followers.
Look what happened to the Terminator movies. When you ignore the aspects of what made the Lore great and fall into a tangent, then people end up being bewildered.
I would highly suggest that the writing and development team take a good look at the history of WoW and not fall into a storyline black hole like what happened to Warlords of Draenor.
So much of what happened was ignored. The kinds of questions we should have are âwhat happens next,â not âbut why did this happen when this and this happened?â
I just recently resubscribed, and Iâm just confused on whatâs going on, here.
Frankly, what I just watched, was insulting to WoWâs history, and to all of the writers who were ever involved for WoW. The only positive thing about what I saw was the art style.
Blizzard, you can do better than this. Far better than this. Carefully reconsider your position and examine the lore with a fine-toothed comb. You canât just gloss over these things.
Remember how hard it was just to remove the heart of an old god, long after Yâshaarj was dead? Do you seriously think that Nâzoth could be vanquished that easily? Even our combined might we couldnât, lorewise, scratch the surface of Nâzoth, even if it was said he was the âweakestâ of the old gods.
Nâzoth isnât stupid. And neither are we.
You can do better, Blizzard. You WILL do better.
