Or maybe to prevent old players from not returning??? And it’s in the game, which requires sub to watch it???
Man, Icecrown is Mordor with the serial numbers filed off by ice, and Arthas’ design in Wrath looks a lot like Sauron’s in Fellowship of the Ring. If they weren’t going to get hit with a lawsuit then, why this time?
Ever hear of homages? That’s what this was. It was a crap cinematic, but c’mon, stop reaching.
Oh and to the person talking about Cyberpunk: I see you missed the game being pushed back to September.
Please, enjoy what you’ve been given and Blizzard thanks you for your money.
I agree the ending is just flat bad. I did like the wrathion dagger bit. But players pulling a kamehameha spirit bomb was just awful. Folowed by rehashing sarons death from lord of the rings. Come one blizz.
That feel when im more hyped for warcraft reforged then i am anything in wow.
Kinda speaks volumes when more of your customer base is excited for the remake of a game that came out over 15 years ago then your newest game.
Hazel is such a sweet girl. I share your feelings towards the couple. The girl is fine, but the guy is soooo annoying. He is always feeling so superior to others and I just find him insufferable.
I will never agree that WoD was better than BFA in any aspect (save PvP).
But alas, this is something Blizzard should have thought about. N’Zoth gets a patch while Sylvanas gets to be featured in another expansion.
The one thing that will completely gain massive amounts of negative feedback (even more so than this) is if they try to make her a hero by the end of Shadowlands.
Be careful Blizzard.
i think we need a ff14 1.0 kind of apology from blizzard followed by the restoration of wow
Speaking of bad expansion ending never got to find out what happened to Yrel since they canceled the Shattrath raid that she was suppose to help us in.
She went fanatical with the light and started killing everyone that didnt joined her and the Lightbound
I would not go that far. Blizzard just needs to get back in the swing of making sure that major lore characters who die. Are given the proper respect and acknowledgement they richly deserve when their end comes. N’zoth was not given that by any measure he was crapped on and throw to the way side.
What really rubs salt in the wound is a complete lack of closure after you beat him. Its just like “OH he is dead now, time to move on”…Seems like that alone is pissing people off.
Looks cool to me. Is there some lorey reason people don’t like it?
I wouldn’t believe that at all especially if it came from an orc.
It’s wasted potential. An Old God that was in the background that nobody had seen had a lot of mystery and build up to the moment we get to confront him only for him to have been defeated in a single patch along side the Black Empire. N’zoth and Azshara could’ve both been their own expansions and they just wasted it.
Ah gotcha, I thought this was about the cinematic alone. Don’t worry though, there’s always a chance for villains to return.
I think that Az can be pretty…intense at times. Or like, all the time. But he is passionate about gaming in general, so that is why he rants so much about Blizzard, or EA, or whoever screwed up last. I don’t always agree with him, but he usually brings up some good points or says what I’m thinking. Well, in a way more colorful way at least. So yeah, I guess I can relate with him sometimes. He seems to feel the same way I do regarding WoW. To him it’s not JUST a game. It is a passion and, as a result, a part of him.
Personally don’t think it’ll have a strong impact. When you bring out a major villain thats had a lot of mystery since near the beginning to only have him be DBZ’d out of existence, that mystery and threat just kind of fades away. Not to mention it’ll just look like they’re trying to say “Look! Azshara’s back! See? This is just what you wanted right?”
I’m convinced BFA really was supposed to be about the faction war at first and that the Saurfang vs. Sylvanas cinematic was supposed to be the final cinematic since the shadowlands trailer appears to take place directly after it.
Something must have gone very wrong early on when they were planning everything, and that’s why we got all this old god stuff shoehorned in instead of giving it its own Black Empire expansion.
They tried(and failed) to salvage the expansion by throwing in the whole Azshara/N’zoth plot after cutting whatever they planned for BFA. It would explain why nearly everything in BFA seemed so poorly-designed and barely thought out. N’zoth, and by extension everything in 8.3, was not originally planned for BFA, and the entire design process was rushed so Blizzard would have something out just days before all the subs from the previous 6-month sub offer expired.
This wouldn’t be surprising. After all, the writing was on the wall when Blizzard announced that they had to design every essence power from scratch. Proof of yet another unplanned concept that had its entire development process rushed so there would be a new feature to help player retention.
Probably due to the 1.2k likes to 4.1k dislike ratio lol. Just a guess.
We could go into it, but forum posts have a character limit.
Let me sum up: Talentless hacks wooed the beancounters with spreadsheets showing they could spend much less and make a little more money. Art suffers when the artists are not in charge of their own creations.
