BfA Legacy Raids overtuned?

They also just hotfix nerfed Longstrider trait so now old raids take even longer even with a speed set. Eonar is once again a pain to solo on most classes. FFS they just make stupid decisicions

I solod them fine, things took a bit longer but not that much longer honestly, still lose more time to running and RP than any of the bosses.

Saw that coming too. Tuning will be left untouched though.

Yep, getting a blistering 8% from each piece now. Thanks Blizz! Thanks for nerfing something that can’t even be used in content beyond BfA lol

So they are touching everything related to the issue except the issue itself

With todays maintenance this issue is still around.

The problem isn’t that we are expected to overpower content as we level and gear, it is that in each new expansion, they move the goal-posts by scaling up old content, reducing our relative power.

If they just left old content alone and restricted any scaling changes to Chromie Time, we wouldn’t have this issue.

This is intentional because people doing anything other than endgame level cap content is not intended “BlizZard way” of playing the game.

this is one of the reasons I leave, i get tired of feeling like a low level. If you wait about 6 months come back you can do the leveling quests with better gear they give you and return to your farming ways. if your not interested in raiding the game wont be fund for a while

Yeah, it feels pretty scummy to go into old content that’s irrelevant to endgame progression and actually make it harder. If the difficulty of BfA/SL content isn’t returned to how it was in 10.2.7 that’ll be the dealbreaker that calls off me buying TWW. I’m sure many would consider that to be a fairly petty reason, but I’m not going to buy any expansion that’s trying to sell back to me the power that I already had prior to its release.

I’ve done the same for several expansions now.

At this point in the game’s life, I won’t even buy the base expansion until it’s on sale.

Maybe today will be the day we get confirmation if this was intentional and staying or if they are working on a fix

Reporting in that after todays maintenance nothing has changed as far as tuning.

Tuning isn’t going to change as it is intentional.

The question is if Blizzard will make any changes to have separate ‘phases’ and instances with different scaling for Chromie Time and non-Chromie Time, or implement something like the legacy buff we got in old instances back when they did the first squash - which buffed players to compensate for the loss of relative power.

But since they have now pulled this rescale old content crap the last three expansions and done absolutely nothing but gaslight us (‘oh it’s due to the loss of temp power systems you are feeling’ BS) or coming straight out and saying ‘leveling up to cap in the new expansion will fix it’, don’t expect anything from Blizzard.

Besides, they have no incentive to ‘fix’ this issue as that would take money and resources while doing nothing costs nothing AND pushes players to buy and play the new expansion.

I think this is the first time we’ve had an ‘anti squish’ though. As in, this time it wasn’t us being squished while the mobs stayed the same; instead, it’s us staying the same while the mobs got buffed. Since that makes it much easier to see the impact of the balancing changes, it makes it feel so much worse than it has in the past. :sob:

I really really really do not enjoy the “Just get to the new max level!” solution. That should NEVER come in to play.

With other other squishes (and like Qaccy said, this anti squish), they always said if you could do something before, you could do something after. In this case it’s not the same tho!

It’s belief this is clearly intentional as they ‘fixed’ the Remix scaling issues.
Have to say that it’s a scummy practice to hold old content ‘hostage’ to ‘encourage’ people to continue to level and gear so they may be able to do what they formerly did with little to no issues (and that’s without commenting about how broken some actually are, like Sylvanas). Do they really have such a gripe with people spending time in their game, having fun, doing their own thing? >.>

It’s been almost 2 weeks and we have had 0 word, or even 0 communication on the issue entirely, if the scaling in raids will be fixed.

How can they just leave a boss broken like Sylvanas (even if you WERE to assemble a raid group for mythic) in a non completable state?

This is an issue because they smoothed out the leveling experience.

1-70 is now base leveling before the expansion and the ilvls for players were smoothed out over this time, ultimately making 60-70 (at least) have much higher ilvls for players. Due to this enemies have higher ilvls which seems to be why they have more HP.

Their whole framework is busted that causes this but its very much intentional.
