Pretty typical from this garbage company. It took them nearly a week to even comment on their pre-patch event being terrible.
It wasnât ânearly a weekâ. The event started on Tuesday and was adjusted by mid-Thursday. It wasnât even up for a day and a half before it was changed!
Now, I wonât disagree that the game has issues (and yes, I think that the topic of this thread is one of them), and Iâm not even entirely convinced that the event changes were âdue to feedbackâ, but regardless it was still a fairly quick turnaround for the event being changed.
Gotta make sure you buy the expansion, level to the new level cap and gear up somehow, this doesnât shock me anymore, itâs Ion and Co, nothing they do to make things worse should be a shocker.
Any time they are involved they have to take easy wins and turn them into fat losses.
Do you really think thatâs why they not only made mobs in SLs so much harder, but reduced the ilvl of heroic and mythic dungeon gear to 60?
Well, here we are on Wednesday night and Sylvannas is still broken, and the HP/damage is still out of control
at least you can buy the mythic sets on auction house for cheap
Completely incompetent and ignorant devs who refuse to make BFA soloable, why? Artificially increase play time? This is so frustrating, I re-subbed for the pre-patch because I assumed BFA finally got bonus scaling (1 expansion later) only to find it STILL does not have bonuses applied. This was an issue almost 2 years ago as well:
Iâm not going to stay subscribed to this game. This is such a slimy rugpull for all the transmog / mount farmers who have been waiting YEARS for actual changes. I got my alts leveled up to 480+ gear and most of the BFA mythic raids are still a pain to finish.
Soooooo maybe just a response from someone official would be nice! Are we intended to be 80 to do stuff we could do at level 70?
People have been trying to get a straight answer out of the devs for 4 years now to no avail. The answer seems to be âyesâ.
thats precisely what they intend. i mean why else would they scale up bfa gear to be the equivalent of lvl 70 gear?
I just wanna farm mogs
sorry for that you need to buy our latest expansion.
I saw this and had to go see. Honestly it felt like I cleared it faster now than I did in June the last time I did it. I did Battle of D so idk if the others have gotten harder, but battle of D wasnât bad at all.
âBuy our new expansion and grind out full raid gear so you can have the same power as you did at level 70 before the pre-patch!â
How else can they increase new raid participation?
Well here we are, the week of early access. Looks like âLevel 80â was the answer the entire time. Disappointing.
But thatâs just a misunderstanding of what âthe powerâ is for old raids. Itâs arbitrary and based on legacy rules based on level and ilvl scaling. They are âskullâ mobs so should scale as such, but donât because legacy.
You should be able to do shadowlands raiding with legacy rules at 80, so that should be new as well. Theyâve gone expansions where they didnât flip the switch but it has been pretty consistent past that. Weâll see.
Pre-patches have consistently been the dead zone where youâre no longer considered âmax levelâ and are âunderscaledâ as a result, screwing up legacy farms.
Really this all boils down to them making the numbers chase compelling while stat squishing. It was refreshing to see it simplified in mop remix with gems just saying +mastery or +haste or whatever. the numbers themselves are basically meaningless because theyâre all a function of mob level, player level and the damage/mitigation equation anyway, and it all reduces into a % of maxhp reduction per ability press which is how they allow different level players to attack the same content. (and why their scaling with lower level chars is atrocious since the lowbies are usually considered very very OP at certain breakpoints)
i think the correct answer is.
.
Most players are like that. A lot of players donât care about the race to raid.
