But TBH, it was difficult to really grasp how it would play and then taking into consideration all the interactions.
It felt VERY alien to ANYTHING I have ever thought of for Shadow.
It had a lot of unique ideas, but ultimately I just couldn’t grasp to a full extent what it was trying to be/do and how I can make it work.
It would require me actually play testing it, just reading and theory crafting was a bit too much for me to get an accurate take on the overall tree itself.
Still have Mind Blast, SW: Pain, Mindgames and SW: Death.
Basic rotation for Balance of all Things and Vampiric Embrace: Schism, Light’s Wrath, Mindgames, Penance, Mind Blast, Smite.
Honestly I don’t think it does. Vamp Embrace being ST shadow heals means it works off mind blast and mindgames. I guess SW:D too.
Disc is almost certainly going PTW which is radiant damage now (so doesn’t deal shadow damage), and it’s not worth an investment into that + san’layn for a tiny bit of extra MB healing. It’s just button bloat for them. Easy enough to skip though and Shadow will find it useful, so I think it’s fine in the class tree.
Holy is going to MB even less unless they want huge investment into a spell they probably won’t use much.
Balance in all things is a huge increase. You’re going to alternate Penance/Mind Blast all the time already, but you can Smite/SW:D now for consuming pain. It’s a consistent high throughput increase.
Yeah but it has a 20 sec Cooldown. So you can only use it once.
This one only for for 1 Spell. Its similar to Druid Eclipse thing. So you cast 1 shadow then 1 holy back to Shadow. If you dont do a rotation you dont get the full effect of it. It does work for the rotation you stated.
But half of it work for VE while half doesnt proc it.
Light’s Wrath doesnt, Penance only work if under Power of the Dark side/Twilight Corruption, Smite is Holy so it doesnt proc VE also
Yes, I was just with BiAT in mind. Though we shoudn’t care much about Vampiric Embrace, it will just be balanced if procs off of heals and damage. If onnly for damage, holy won’t like.
Disc should be brought because of Absorbs
Shadow should be brought for Soaking and Leech healing from Damage.
Holy… maybe gets a combat rez or something.
I think Shadow beyond balance reasons should keep Dispersion and Vampiric Embrace to retain the reason to bring shadow.
I dunno, I feel that it could be great combined with shadow cov and dark reprimand. Then again is it going to be worth the investments? Maybe not. But I kinda want to test it out regardless and see if it can pull off anything interresting
