dam. it’s a good editor but I wish it was more interactive lol. I gave up.
I noticed the void form stuff, sorry Didn’t see it, this is my bad. Mah astigmatism got me again!
I am really not the best representative for the void form community, if it was up to me I would delete it from history. But emphasizing with them, I feel like they would just prefer their old theme back (but I would leave it in that corner away from my stuff lol).
Also you ruined my pvp build :[. Where is PSLAM!! haha. Nooooo, my nuke SWD build.
My thoughts to the devs.
I’m honestly pretty satisfied with what I was given. My only issues as I choose stuff around are what I stated above in earlier replies. I really don’t feel like much should be done, but I can’t speak for PVE players.
All I know is when the first warlock build came out. I thought most stuff was good. Then the second iteration came out, and it pretty much just went backward. I am worried now that the next time they touch this build, it will go backward too :[.
This is my idea, so not sure if something like this will make it in… But if it did, this is your nuke.
- Dark Ascension: Death
While under the effects of Dark Ascension, Your Shadow Word: Deaths critical strike damage bonus is increased by 30% and it cools down 100% faster.
Shadow Word: Death deals damage as though the target is below 20% health during this effect
This issue with PSLAM is that it conflicts wit both sides of Shadows playstyle. It prevents things like Mind Spike working as it strips dots and it prevents your dots from working as its cut from SW:D and if your using SW:D above 20/50% HP then its hitting for low damage and its not getting a reset.
Its really a bad talent.
This is probably what I would take for a PvP build.
Psalm only affects VT and SWP dots.
Mind spikes also clears them out completely unless you only cast mind spike during surge of darkness or during times that there are no dots on the target for w.e reason.
Psalm consumes a percent of the remaining dot ticks and adds it to its dmg. So it does not affect Mind spike.
Also, Class tree and pvp tree adds a lot of reset to Shadow Word Death.
Eternal rest – PVP talent- (missed clicked it out of my build.
- reduces the cooldown of shadow word death by 12 sec. So now it will be a 8-sec cd.
Death and Madness – class talent
- If your shadow word death fails to kill a target at or below 20% health, its cd is reset.
So during nuke times, i get to just spam this monster.
combined with Damnation to reset the dots and add more to SWD’s power.
To be honest, this build for SWD might be super nasty and broken. But I can’t test DF still D:<. So this is all theoretical.

I mean… We have psalm on live and it’s utter garbage, I dont see why that would change.
I can’t test DF still so all theory here.
new SWD on class tree.
dmg increases by 250% when players at or bellow 50% hp.
Dmg further increases by 150% when at or bellow 20% hp.
Death and madness resets this when i fail to kill them at or bellow 20% hp.
New pvp talent reduces SWD cd to 8 sec.
Tithe evasion makes me take 75% less dmg form SWD. SO i can spam cast it more freely.
Painbreaker’s pslam gets the dots dmg and adds it onto my SWD for more dmg.
This requires even more testing,
But i am also thinking about Pain of death due to its 25% dmg increase to SWD.
I don’t see how SWD will be bad on live for pvp.
PSALM is a half measure. It’s not fully taking advantage of the dot duration and it’s not clearing out the dots.
If SW:D consumed 100% of the dot duration then I can see that working. Then you can follow up with Mind Spike spam or recasting dots or using Damnation.
As it stands now, you dot up target… then SW:D for meh damage because they are not low HP and now you can’t cc break and what’s your follow up? Mind Blast? Cool… then what? Wait for SW:D to come back off CD? Re apply dots? Mind Flay in PVP?
It’s very awkward.
So in DF it does not increase it by 250%?
mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
This is why i want beta /pouts
Also, the reset only happens once.
I don’t recall the internal timer for the reset to be able to happen again. But the reset only happens sub 20% and it’s only 1 reset. You can’t spam it constantly.
the fact that it doesn’t give you 250 modification% in DF already makes it a bleh choice. I gotta redo EVERYTHING.
Im so disappointed.
Sad, so very sad.
Correct, there’s an internal cd. It’s the glyph from WoD and MoP.

Yea but… you recall how long it was?
I never bothered to know because I just doubled tapped it by habit and never cared until it was up for double tapping again.
It used to be 12 second cd 9 second internal cd on the reset. In pve you always played off the reset cd not the actual cd so you’d have a double available at the end of combat.
Now it’s 20 second hasted cd, and probably like 12s hasted reset.
Cool.
BTW…
Did you see this yet?

Silence
Silences the target, preventing them from casting spells for 4 sec. Upon successful spell interruption, Silence cools down 100% faster. Against non-players, also interrupts spellcasting and prevents any spell in that school from being cast for 4 sec.
Thoughts?
Since you wanted a short Silence Cooldown.
I mean I like it, but I know they won’t add this. lol.
Silence is always better than an interruption. The boomkin one is litterally 1min. I don’t want to give them a reason to nerf this baby.
I was actually asking Hpellipsis as we were talking about Silence and Interrupts eariler.
I know. I am just adding
Boomkin works simllar. Except if you interrupt it causes the player to go 8 sec spell lock.
They have a talent that works simillar* your addition for DF.
“light of the sun”
- Reduces the remaining cooldown on solar beam by 15 sec when it interrupts the primary target.
While our talent just reduces it by 15sec for free.
I think we are getting the better end of the deal here lol.

I could see this, I’m just wary of a 23 second silence in PvP at its current duration, even if it’s a little situational.

Solar Beam is an AOE silence.
They also have the option of getting Skull Bash for a low cooldown interrupt.
you are comparing 2 very difference capabilities.
My idea acts more as a “skill shot” as you only get the benefit if you land the interrupt. Meaning if someone else beats you to it or if you silence without the target casting a spell, you don’t get the effect. Since its a skill shot, you should get rewarded… This is also taking into consideration that most interrupts are 8-24 sec or so. with Silence cooling down 100% faster, it gets to 22.5 sec. Which is the normal range of most interrupts.

I haven’t played current retail or Beta… with how that reads, it sounds like you would not be able to get the interrupt effect in PvP. It only counts as Silence. Unless I am missing something?
