Benthic gear is too OP for Mythic Raiding

Benthic gear is just right! It is a perfect fit!

The other option is someone actually test it and provide those numbers in game. Otherwise they are simply relying on a potentially faulty application without any mathematical evidence.

Again after a 1000 posts all I see is “but, but muh SIM bruh” with a single shred of actual evidence.

Afaik people get the % number from going through game files. This data still exists in the game, even if it’s not shown in the tooltip itself, that’s also how the “advanced ui” type addons can show character stats that are normally removed from the character info panel. It isn’t a conspiracy or anything.

Based on PTR data.

Where is this information you are suggesting in the live game?

I’ll compromise, you can have your super elite mythic raid so long as it has no impact of my realm of play. K? k.

And now its gonna get nerfed, tyvm for that.

It won’t get nerfed.

I doubt it. Some suggestions from the ptr was 0.6 percent over a mythic piece when the critical strike is stacked really high. Also the gems have been nerfed too.

Do people really think ignoring other secondary stats just so one piece of gear will SIM higher than a mythic piece is smart to do?

Good luck on an assassination rogue with how badly they starve for haste.

This is just a garbage thread with lil details.

…it’s in the game client files? Why would they only be able to get it from the ptr, the patch has been out for several weeks?

It’s not a value people get from compiling data of people playing the game, it’s a value they look for in the game files.

See above.

See what, the post where you say the gear is only simming well if you stack crit too high?

Right now, with the gear I was wearing already - no weird stacking - I’ve got two Benthic pieces that sim higher at 385 than the 415 pieces I had in those slots before switching them out.

Even Azerite traits don’t create this much of a disparity, at most 385 Azerite is sometimes better than 400 Azerite based on the respective traits but I’ve never seen 385 Azerite winning out over 415 Azerite gear (not on my character, at least). And if it was, people would complain about it being counterintuitive.

Isnt there a disclaimer on your SIM?

Big deal some of the pieces help on trash… which there is no shortage in nazjatar right now.

Yeah i highly doubt it will get nerfed if it went live like that it was intended.

I mean you haven’t given an argument beyond “sim math is wrong because I feel like it is” so I’m going to believe the sims over you.

…why would they not help on bosses? lol

Some of the pieces… not all.

Also you said it sim’d higher but didnt actually provide any DPS comparisons.

Sooooo you dont monitor your dps?

At this point I’m not even sure what you’re arguing.I never said all gear, I was specifically talking about 2 pieces from the beginning. Again, if one single Azerite trait caused this much of a disparity Blizzard would probably nerf it (they’ve actually done just that to several of my “op” traits so far).

Its pretty obvious. You are claiming its better because SIM told you so.

You havent actually provided any in-game comparison with numerical information that its actually in fact better.

Instead just a bunch of SIM fanboys saying “i believe SIM over you.”

Well said!

And all you’re doing is claiming sims are wrong because you said so.

Do you have anything to back up your argument that sims are wrong? It’s not like someone made the math up, it’s based off the numbers in the WoW game client.

I didnt claim it was OP and needed to be nerfed.

The person created this thread did and did not provide any actual direct hand evidence.

You are defending it in the same manner.

The person making the claim needs to provide the evidence and they have failed to due so because they are relying on a 3rd party to make their claim.
