Yeah ok, I don’t need to know about your health issues. That’s not related to a video game.
But no, even my 82 year old Grandad doesn’t immediately need to go to the toilet before having an accident.
if your baby is crying, and it isn’t an urgent cry, then they could probably wait the 5-10 minutes to finish a floor. if it IS, an urgent cry, then caring for your child should matter more than loosing a run in a video game.
if you are expecting an amazon delivery that day, maybe wait until the next day to do higher end content.
if someone slips and falls, maybe worry more about their safety than if your torghast run got burned, after all, its a video game.
emergencies happen, sometimes that makes you loose your internet pixels video game. that sucks. but if emergencies are happening so often that you “can’t possibly ever complete the content because its just too hard” then maybe you should re-examine if an mmo is the right type of game for your lifestyle.
No, they accumulate over time.
That’s not a timer.
You’re not measured by your time.
Yes, I’ve already watched the video this thread is about.
Thanks gramps, did you forget what thread you was in on the way to the bathroom?
That may be Blizzard’s intent, but it isn’t reality on alpha right now.
Patrols in Torghast will aggro you while you are in the “safe zone”, which pulls you into combat, dispelling the safe zone buff. The “safe zone” is then permanently gone from that floor.
Further, even if you clear 90% of a floor, including all patrols, and you run back to a known safe area, 2 out of 6 Torments spawn adds whenever you are out of combat, and they will kill you if you are AFK. Same goes for the fire DoT.
The stacking debuffs to your damage taken function as a soft enrage. The stacking debuffs to your damage done actually make it more difficult, depending on how you built. If you built for tankiness, nerfing your damage output makes it take forever but you aren’t really threatened. If you built for burst damage, nerfing your output makes it considerably more diffict.
The definition of a timer: “an automatic mechanism for activating a device at a preset time”
Torments are activated at a preset time. It’s a timer.
I’m not trying to argue about timers I’m simply trying to discuss alternatives.
For me I’m pretty much a solo player so these affix will not bother me much because I don’t really push content.
All of that for to prioritize a recreational VIDEO GAME activity over real life responsibilities, wow.
If you are prioritizing a video game over real life, you really need to take a look at your life.
And a MMO has been part of my recreational life for over twenty years now, its a great form of recreation with a good bank for your buck return.
That’s a timer.
i’m saying the exact opposite, if a real life emergency happens, maybe don’t care so damn much about what happens to your internet pixels.
I don’t need your google definitions and your pedantic/literal spew. You’re not telling me something I don’t already know.
Tell me, do you consider Arenas timed content? When you’re in the middle of an Arena are you worrying about pushing a fast time?
Very trollish of you.
I think that’s more a problem with youtube than with any creator in particular.
False equivalency, Arena’s are PvP, Torghast is available as solo content.
Oh, I thought we were making jokes when you said having to go to the toilet is an emergency that you have to attend to immediately.
What in the ever loving … does that have to do with anything?
Whatever soothes your conscious.
If you’re pushing an incorrect definition then I will correct it. Torghast incorporates a timer. Period. End of story.
Why people are concerned about timers is the feeling of being rushed. That’s something Blizzard is going to have to alleviate. There are many ways of doing this, your example with the shell game with a timer set to many, many, many times the average player’s playtime is just one example.
Back at you.
