We’ll see but they better bring the casual gear level up cause I’m not sitting in a game where the true endgame is SELLING CARRIES TO CASUALS. The whole game design is filthy right now and promotes token sales and rmt. It makes me puke. Half of this tiers hall of fame had to be removed in Asia because it was all boosting.

Exactly.
A lot of the $$ for these wow creators come from the wow videos. Watch them do a video on some variety thing [another game] and it gets them like 1/3rd of the views 9 times outta 10.

The distracting part would be how little people would watch the stream. Lets be real, ARR is really boring to play through and to watch.

The only bad thing Ive found about FFXIV is I dont think it is a good game to stream, or to watch others stream. Their developers seem entirely focused on actually making a good game instead of a competition and e-sport.
Edit: and I think FFXIV needs a lot more voice acting, considering how story driven it is.

This line of thinking didnt save HotS – and this was word for word the exact logic people had.
They mentioned they would never do this, plus catch up in XIV isn’t that bad tbh. You’re not really being rushed into end-game content.

I think it’s a carefully crafted illusion, he needs viewers to believe that he is an expert game designer. I started having doubts about that after he said a few things that got me wondering about his knowledge. When he was complaining about borrowed power it sounded like he was parroting people on these forums, if he was actually a game designer he would have understood why Blizzard was doing that in the first place. He’s a smart guy, but I think his prime motivation is to make as much money as possible by getting clicks.

No body watches WoW outside of one streamer and he doesn’t even play the game on stream most of the time.

What do you mean? Good or bad, Heroes of the Storm is a moba and nothing more. It was built as an e-sport from the ground up and most consider it pretty bad.
Hot take, I think Heroes of the Storm is the most fun moba, even though I dont play mobs anymore.

Eventually people will realize that while FFXIV is nice, its endgame content cycle is constant and unchanging. Things just get a fresh coat of paint every patch.
You queue for instanced content to collect currency to buy gear. Rinse and repeat until you’re fully geared.
There’s also a relic grind if you just hate yourself.
Soon he said “elevate it to the height of legion” I stoped watching because dude has no idea what is he talking about. He is definitely paid criticizer.
Yogi know he is doing what people want to see right? If what he was saying was out of touch with things he wouldn’t be getting clicks.

Even rn with Asmongold watching TGA – WoW has 54.4k watchers.
There are streamers currently who have over 1k viewers right now (Jokerd, Payo, Tetsu, Towliee, and Maitoz). The highest FF14 streamer rn is Zelpa with 651 viewers.
If no one watch WoW on stream, then FF14 is literally a dead game on Twitch with 4.8k total viewers.

Yeah it’s way way down the list dude. And even Asmond admits people don’t watch his stream to see him play WoW.
WoW is pretty irrelevant compared to the all the games above it. A lot of the time wow is way down in 25k viewers and even lower than 20k
The whole community ideal is that HotS doesnt need to do good on streaming because Blizzard was putting more fun into the game.
Meanwhile, currently the game is in maintenance mode after two botched launches.
