Beledar seems like a tip of something familiar... (Not a sword.. What sword?)

We had a lot of retcons and such things like that, but we never, ever had something so massive in-game like this be shifted to something else.

They would have to rework 30% of the quests/lore in hallowfall for this to be the tip of the sword. Plus the model of Beledar itself, because its design is not like the sword design. Plus the map.

You are literally “But who said that apples can’t cure cancer? We have no proof!” kinda guy. Nope.

Are you saying I’m dumb for using logic to come to the conclusion that it isn’t the sword?

I thought the same but people say it’s not. It was a falling star, the NPC say. So yeah, the sword couldn’t have looked like a falling star with that gigantic monster attached to it. Must be something else.

See that’s better. That makes sense.
For a while there you were just being an “I said so, so it must be true” kind of guy. Way to step up, good job.

Right. Nope. Because I never said that. I just asked for some proof or some reasoning besides “I say so.”

Also, for your amusement if you’re bored this morning.

Absolutely not. I think at the time I was replying to you I was hoping for more exciting posts. YOU FAILED ME! Not that you were out to impress me.

Also, this is a humor thread. The OP was intentionally looking for wild stories and theories. For funsies.

And something we should all agree on is this: Harlequin’s Bells must return to The Trading Post.

I just figured it was a giant version of xe’ra that got stuck into the world or something.

Now there’s one I haven’t seen before.

Blessed armor of undead slaying. I see you’ve been around a bit.

EDIT: Not the armor. Seen that. I too wish it had a helm like the god-awful purple recolor does. Just not that awful purple.

Why thank you, I’ve been playing for a very, very long time. Off and on, but I’ve played every expansion at least. The only helms that match it are armet of the rotten mind and myrmidons headdress. Maybe one day they will add a helmet for it that actually goes with the judgement set, but I highly doubt it.

First- It’s not the tip of the sword.

Now that that is out of the way-

It has nothing to do with geography. If it was geographically impossible for the tip of the sword to be there, Anduin wouldn’t have said “The sword was aimed at something”.

The map we have pretends that this underground world is flat and exists only on two axis. But that’s just representative. Even still, the surface of Azeroth isn’t flat. Scale is very fluid in this game and we can’t even reliably do any kind of math to determine if a linear sword of any size wouldn’t be able to penetrate to Hallofall from Silithus, nor are we certain of the orientation of Hallowfall’s caverns ceiling. Up is not necessarily up and down is not necessarily down.

Found the guy that knows nothing about the lore

Like, two generations at most in a technical sense. Faerin was a child when the expedition left, and theyve only “had Beledar in their lives” for a few decades at most but talk (and maybe rightfully so given its affect in plant life) like its been there and relatively understood enough to base whole sayings and euphemisms around it and in a few years time around the shifting, too.

I just hope when we eventually see and hear non-Beledarian/Hallowfall, pre-Imperial Expedition Arathi who don’t say a damn thing about Beledar in their voice files. Gonna be annoying if the entirety of the Arathi Empire reference and speak of Beledar wherever they are experienced when they themselves have less experience with the thing than we do.

Am I the only one who saw it for the first time and was like “this is a massive piece of azerite”?

I didn’t think that.

It doesn’t look like a rough crystal. It looks like an artfully cut stone set into the ceiling of the cavern.

That is my wager too. Looks a lot like the ships in Nethstorm.

When is the Sargeras sword going to available for transmog is the real question

Famous last words before your woman ends up pregnant.

I assumed in the isle of dorn where you land, that mountain is a crystal (Dhar Oztan), it’s kinda off to the left in the direction of hallowfall.

I’d say that mountain is more likely to be the tip of the crystal over the sword being it.

But there are those NPCs talking about a crystal found on some island so maybe that’s it instead.

I think you have the wrong website.

It does LOOK like a sword, I will give you that.
