Being forced to Dragonride is terrible game design, especially for Druids

Mmm druid tears, so yummy.

The only “poor design” I see is this giant block of senseless text.

It’s funny how inferior dragonriding is to GW2’s systems.

Cry me a river. You have had an unfair advantage for most of the game with being able to pick herbs and mine while in Flight form. Which I would love to know what lore justification there was for a glorified crow being able to extract ore from a boulder.

They are adding regular flying later. Just wait.

Spare me. I have impairments and disabilities and I hated dragon riding at first. It took me longer to master but every time I’m in Ogr I get on my mounts I’m sad as to how slow they are. Stop acting like you care about people to try to make your baby, whining point.

how would it work, would druids turn into a dinosaur

No, you literally can not.

You are gated in at least 2 places by Dragon Riding, probably more that I’m not remembering at the moment.
Once near the beginning with the training montage of a quest - if you do not do this quest you cannot proceed.
Once again when you try to access Thaldrazus as there are 0 ground paths that will take you there.

You don’t know dragon lore then.

The already do but dinosaurs are not dragons or really related in wow lore.

I will say this in your defense, I started leveling my druid not to long ago and it did feel really weird to not be able to use flight form. Imagine if druid could shape shift into a dragon to dragon ride, I think that would be fun.

Oh no you have to mount up like every other class!

Oh it’s the lore? What’s the lore reason you suddenly lose the ability to shape shift to flight from every time a new expansion gets released?

Been playing a druid main since TBC. Yeah it’s a little annoying my shapeshift form doesn’t work here. But as somebody who got the BFA Pathfinder achievement and spent a year working on it I was much happier to fly right away in dragonflight.

Not everything can be catered to everyone. Every expansion, someone loses out.

You’ll be ok.

Did you just want something to complain about? Druids are the most versatile class in Wow. So not being able to use flight form in the Dragon isles doesnt really seem like a relevant argument. For one, why should Druids be given priority over an other class? I think what you really want is the dragonriding speed but freedom of choice and that I can relate to. But I prefer dragonriding and despise regualr flying. Now using my other mounts with dragon riding would be cool but some mounts would just feel wierd using it because they dont have wings etc…

Pathfinder should never see the light of day again. The cost for regular flying is already there with it being a third of the speed of DR.

you really think that the next set of demands isn’t going to be speed equal to dragon riding lol?

How so? You’ve still got ground mounts. There are still flight paths. If not for dragonriding you still wouldn’t have regular flying at this stage. So just ignore it.

I think they give regular mounts the option to DR but still keep regular flying in the game, since DR isn’t the more accessibilty friendly mode of transportation.
