There is no time limit on amount of chat messages thats considered spamming, its legit if your fellow players feel you are interupting their game by typing anything, they can report you.

There is no way you can justify reporting legit messages because “you feel” they are interrupting your gameplay. What game are you even playing sitting in Valdrakken reading trade services ?

That is the exact reason you can report someone for spamming, go look it up.

It’s not spamming when someone is using Trade Services to sell carries. It’s a legitimate use of the channel and the channel is already throttled to prevent excessive messaging.

Maybe you need to look up the rule on misusing the Report system before you get dinged for harassing GMs with nothingburgers.

Its automated to save blizzard money. You just got the proper amount of reports to trigger the automated system.

People should not be reporting boosting advertisements that are being posted in the trade services channel

This is so false. There are rules for what chat can be reported.

They do it because there is no consequences for false reports. If blizz introduced consequences for false reports 99% of reporting would cease.

I disagree I think there is plenty of valid reports but it seems like advertising boosts in the proper channel is one thing that the community seems to not understand that it is not a voilation

I only tend to report people for spam and advertisement if I see their same post more than 3 times in a minute.

I’ve gotten that “Your report has made a difference!” About a hundred times now

Everything i have ever read in the entire existence of wow in regards to spamming is based on “determined by player reports and Blizzard’s decision”, meaning, anything your fellow players consider to be disruptive to their gameplay.

I mean if people want to sell their rubbish in between my at length conversations on KFC, by using a macro they press once a minute - i mean lets face it all these “once per 5 minutes” posters we already know its atleast every 2 minutes and maybe even faster if anyone else posts something similar to theirs.

You’re right and wrong, you’re here because you got reported. If you have issues with the system and believe you were wrongfully reported then you should take it up with Blizzard. Not sure what you think you’re gaining by taking it up with GD?

If you did nothing wrong then you shouldn’t have got a warning or whatever happened to your account. But still like I said previously if you think something is wrong then take it up with Blizzard so they can fix/improve the system. Otherwise you’re only going to keep getting reported because clearly the people reporting you are in the right(for now).

So your fellow players think you are spamming, they have a right to report you. If blizzard thinks you did wrong they action you and if not they move on.

Isn’t a function of the forums for providing feedback to Blizzard. Also maybe someone will read my post and learn that carries for gold is not against TOS and the purpose of trade services channel is in fact to advertise carries

No person reviews reports the system is automated

The warning is automated based on number of report.

I’m starting a lot of you /join 5 just to report people, meaning the warning is toothless and it’s you guys that should be actionned for being in a channel and falsely reporting people.

If it is, it wasn’t me. I honestly dont report anything. In game I just block boosters. Im not their audience, but there is a demand. As long as it doesn’t affect my game play, then its no harm, no foul.
