Someone has to put in the work to farm them, and once that happens demand will increase, and you can be sure that someone putting in that effort to grind them wants more than just vendor price for them.

Because GDKPs apparently simultaneously hate gray parsers and have high standards yet also need buyers who by definition don’t have good gear and won’t perform super well.
Yup. People could use pearls, bear jaws, potions, literally whatever they want. The whole point is that the player-base will circumvent the GDKP ban by replacing the G with something else. All it takes is one addon to track it and it’s ezpz. I am by no means a fan of GDKPs but I know the degens in this game and I know they’re not going to just start doing MS>OS. I want to see the botting nuked from orbit and this could just open the door to more botting. Botting raw gold to sell online and botting whatever item people start using to trade in raids for items.

Being serious for a second, Item DKPs are destined to flop because typically items are wildly off their floor price. Most of the proposed commodities fluctuate by like 30% on a daily basis. Most people don’t want to deal with that kind of variability on a regular basis.
Not only that as soon as it becomes known they’re being used as a currency, people will start to manipulate the market to gouge that commodity. And because the currency has alternative uses, people will just cash out of the system and you don’t per-say get that “bag holding” vibe with market manipulation of stores of value because there’s demand of the commodity for its practical uses (IE if cloth is used as a medium of exchange, you could gouge cloth and cloth is always needed for bandages and tailoring so it doesn’t have to drop back down in price).
