BC WIthout The Level Changes

I disagree…that will cause a lot of contention and anger from the players. Instead I propose that they allow at least ONE copy for free, then charge for the rest. Otherwise players would view it as pure greed on their part

I think they need to start an alternate reality… Thanos already snapped and destroyed retail. Maybe blizzard can fix WOW and take a different route because they would inevitably following the same path to failure :exploding_head:

WOW2 - all the lore that got skipped from WC3 lol

I never suggested forcing Classic into TBC. That would be ridiculous. Obviously a tremendous number of people want Classic as it is. That is why we have it, despite years of “no.” This is why I said the opposite for a TBC inspired Classic+ when I said:

I want all of those things as well. The only thing you said that I don’t want is “Flying at 70.” I have posted reasons I don’t want 70 or flying. I ask you to address my points on those. I am not saying I have the finger on the pulse of the community. I am saying I want to reach a consensus on that pulse, because there exist many differing opinions on how to best move forward.

I am fairly certain that everything I listed above was exactly in line with this thinking. That doesn’t mean my ideas are the best ideas, but I hope they can start a conversation on what the entire community really wants.

For the record, that comment wasn’t directed at you. I already told you I was done discussing Classic+ vs TBC with you. But since you insist on continuing to address me about it, I will say it again. The devs have already stated that TBC was the route they were going to take regarding more content. Classic+ getting put on separate servers although is a fine idea, I sincerely doubt there will be enough players who would be willing to roll on these theoretical Classic+ servers to even fully populate it. Now TBC on the other hand will most likely fill up just as fast as the Classic ones did once they open in about 2 years or so. The people at Blizzard aren’t about to spend money/time/effort on a possible failure of an experiment that so few people want

I just want 280,000+ people who signed a petition to bring back classic to not worry about dividing the community with BC or Wrath servers. (or Classic+, whatever)

I’m one person, and I’m not afraid of not being able to find someone to play with. They’re 280,000+ people. How does that even work, mathematically?

TBC as seperate severs with pre-nerf heroics plx.

#nochanges

Classic+ and TBC+ sound god awful. Wouldnt play.

I guess I should have known you were anti-flying but it makes me no less disappointed nonetheless.

I think this is probably how they’ll do it.

Actually what they said was:

This was in direct response to the exact topic of this thread:

What this means is exactly what I have been saying. We as a community need to discuss what we want with regards to the next step forward. THAT is what they want to hear because it will guide their development. I personally think that the Classic servers themselves need to remain Classic for forever. But there will be a huge number of people who will want to progress past that. In order to keep in line with the Classic mentality, keeping the level cap at 60 is a necessary step to keep the Classic world from becoming obsolete, thus ensuring new content keeps the spirit of Classic.

If you wish to not respond to me, that is fine, but don’t suggest what I have put forth is contrary to what the devs want, when their response was “what does the community want” in direct answer to the exact same proposal I have made.

Give me that separate BC server bois and a Wrath one as well afterwards. I’d deal with it progressing to that eventually if it means pre-patches are involved. I’d go through 4 years of Lolret for Patch 3.0 to hit again and kids can relive the terror of the Day of Ret.

Why do people keep suggesting this? It doesn’t work. Side grades are not enough carrot especially when your talking about adding new 5mans. If there is no tangible benefit to the new content a player will do it once and go “Ok I’ve seen it”…
You need to make the rewards constantly better thus eventually you eventually need a reset to bring everyone back in line. If you don’t occasionally reset it then the gap becomes immeasurably large between the new player and experienced player. Now Retail does this far too often as each raid comes with a soft reset in the form of the massive amount of gear catch-up they hand out.

Hmm ok let me respond by quoting someone just a bit above this post

This is just ONE of the countless other players who have all said very much the same thing whenever this topic is brought up in the TBC threads. Very few were in favor compared to the vast number who are opposed. The writing is on the wall…just accept it and move on.

Edit: And here’s another

If they release TBC in any form, some from Classic will begin to play primarily on TBC. That is inevitable. Hopefully new people will come to both worlds, and they will remain vibrant for many years to come.

Perhaps I have used the word “Classic+” in a way I did not intend. My only intent was to create a conversation about how we could bring TBC into the Classic world without making the Classic world obsolete.

Because those were in TBC. It is for the same reason that we don’t have transmog, or achievements, or dual spec, or guild banks, or rebalanced specs in Classic. Because those things weren’t in Classic. Let Classic be Classic and let TBC be TBC if Blizzard releases it again. I have seen many, many people ask for each of those things. I’ve heard VERY few people ask for some Frankenstein abomination that combines the two. Your suggestion wouldn’t appeal to the Vanilla enthusiasts and would enrage the TBC enthusiasts. It is a lose, lose proposition.

A few might. It would make sense to the rest of us.

Assuming the price isn’t prohibitively high.

You can’t always expect everything to be free, especially good content like this. That’s just plain unreasonable.

Actually, the writing is not on the wall. It is more of a “if you try to talk we will silence you” vocal group, which may or may not be a majority of the community.

My first post with the list of suggestions has recieved more “likes” than any other post in this thread. That doesn’t mean anything statistically, but it does suggest there is more than a passing interest by the community in the ideas I have put forth. The fact that there have not been many responses in favor despite that fact may be because of the vocal group that is constantly trying to shut down the conversation. This is not healthy behavior for a community as it ensures consensus cannot be reached.

LOL scroll up and read Inalyri’s post. There is yet another who doesn’t like your idea

Seriously?? You will never ever be able to reach the entire community. The amount of people who play this game that actually read and post on the forums is maybe 10% and even that might be a bit high. The argument you are trying to make is a fallacy since you will never be able to discuss the matter with the entire community
