Alt posting is not the issue. The issue is people using alts to get around ignores , the issue is people using alts with special characters and no armory . WHich makes it harder to put people on ignore and they know that so it makes it easier for them to troll.
Literally the only thing a hidden profile does is make it take 4 steps to ignore you instead of 2.
It doesn’t hide your post history.

Like mentioned above add in the alt code and it gets a little harder becaue even if you copy paste it into ignore a lot of times you end up having to type the name in so you can add the server and that means having to find the right alt code for a letter.

no.
just the generic “rage at the game” / “rage at blizzard” / “ban my forum account” stuff.
most people seem fine with alt posting.
…but troll-alt posting is not beneficial to the forum, the community, the game, or blizzards coffers.
As an example, look at the pointless rant/drama/troll threads created by various posters… oh wait… you probably can’t, because they get deleted.
I’m not sure why specific individuals are able to create so many pointless threads, and not be “educated” about their trash-posting.
Weird thing is, one of the threads this morning which had only been up for 20 minutes or so, had dozens of likes… an inordinate amount, which is simply not in line with any of the other threads, and not in line with the standard level of forum activity at that time of day.
Manipulation solely in an attempt to make the game look bad.
…which can be done freely, because there is no accountability.
If people weren’t able to 
their own posts, these threads would lose traction and drop off the page… instead of giving the outward appearance that INDIVIDUALS are actually in agreement with the trashposting.
(kind of amazing how NONE of the posters hearting the post take the time to drop a word or two… you’d think if people were so passionate about something, they’d at least stop by for long enough to dig the boot in)

Whelp, one more once again added to ignore because they changed to an alt. Never would have happened with account wide ignores. I thank the nice person, also in this thread, for pointing it out so I can immediately ignore that vitriolic person.

And to top that off, they tend to make it out that the ones who want Btags as the ones that want to stalk or harass people. This just leads more credence to the idea of “I want to do it, but don’t want it done to me” as you can bet IF, and I repeat, IF, those that want Btags did use them to stalk or harass others it would mostly be the ones that they felt stalked and harassed them. Everyone needs to remember:
- turnabout is fair play and
- Karma is a female dog

I have never made a character of anyone and it was a response in regards to a response I made to you.
As for the digging Btags won’t make it easier because for what appears to be intentional daftness on your part " NO ONE CAN KNOW WHAT ALL YOUR TOONS ARE BY JUST FINDING OUT YOUR BTAG
THey can only find out what toons you have if you permit them to be a btag friend and only then they can only see what toon is logged on .
I’m thinking people are right about you being a troll when all of this was pointed out to you in the previous thread but I guess if the facts don’t back up your agenda then perpetuate the lie.

that is not me being a troll, i still don’t care to want btags and regardless. i don’t want btags, i want better mods, 1 account 1 ignores.
just because the reason i don’t want it and it’s not good enough for you or any other doesn’t make me a troll or daft.
anyway, if you think i’m lying or a troll or whatever else then that’s fine but please place me on mute/ignore because you’re getting to the point were youre insulting me for no reason and you were one of the few pro’s that werent being rude. oh well.

The forums would arguably be a more fun place to provide feedback for blizzard as well without having to deal w / be bombarded by individuals using sock puppets to drown out other opinions or hype up their own stance.
The status quo of people being allowed to sock puppet does not make this a fun atmosphere to provide feedback which at its core would be what blizzard i would think as a company wants the forums for.

It wouldn’t allow for sock puppets and given who you’re replying to I would say that was the reason for their wording / seeing a negative impact.
