I’m not following how disabling the event when it’s not balanced is supposed to encourage more players (Alliance) to turn WM on… if anything it will just make people not bother? And Horde already have no incentive to turn it off
This is pathetic. They are effectively killing the Battle for Nazjatar when people could JUST TURN WAR MODE OFF or they could FIX UNBALANCED CLUSTERS. MERGE SERVERS you money grubbers.
Honestly, anything is better than this " fix " Just if the battle is active transform you to alliance or horde, whichever one needs more help. That alone is a better fix than what we got
Oi Blizzard. Maybe you should acknowledge that there’s a problem and do something about it before Alliance just up and dies a few years down the line?
Reduced Faction Change prices from H -> A.
Remove non-flavor racials or rename racials to something else and allow us to customize them regardless of race (with a couple cosmetic changes where needed to make it fit).
Provide some kind of reward on Alliance side for maintaining Warmode status each week. You turn it off, ever, you’re ineligible. Not sure what it should be. Could just be something minor like bonus conquest, since that doesn’t give Alliance an advantage, just a nice shortcut for the week. Require x amount of PvP Kills over the course of the week to ensure it’s not just an alt logged out all week. Nothing major, it’s not call to arms x 7, just a little check.
Or, perhaps more drastically, implement forced balancing of H v A Warmode Populations. 500 ‘Normal’ realm Alliance have Warmode on? Horde can’t get more than 500. They have to queue. This would replace the other potential solutions and logging off would turn off your Warmode status if you don’t get back on within 5 minutes or whatever.
That’s probably the “best” solution in terms of ensuring a good warmode experience, but would be inconvenient for those with limited time on Horde side who may not be able to use Warmode when they want to.
For non-PvP participation issues, simply allow cross-faction play outside of Warmode so a dying Alliance isn’t at a disadvantage for actually playing the game.
This is the day WPVP has died. Why ever have WM on as Alliance? How can something like this be approved?
The fix is to actually stop the horrible sharding and phasing, but that will take work and they would rather just scrap WPVP instead of fixing the racials, etc…
the problem with changing faction is what if I’m Alliance chillin in Mezz when the Event dropps and it turns me Horde? I’m gonna get auto rekt… for being in Nazjatar
I mean, you could have possibly fixed Battle of Nazjatar by:
Making the guards in the homes bases effectively murder machines and near impossible to kill, thereby stopping the murderballs and allowing the other faction to have a safe spot to regroup and then fly to other areas of the map.
Providing some sort of incentive, such as a combat buff and/or participation rewards buff, when you’re being hilariously steamrolled and outnumbered.
Probably wouldn’t hurt to have rez areas set-up in faction bases with respawn timers during the event as, again, to provide a safe zone to regroup.
I think this is still true though. We feel more powerful in Kul’tiras and Zandalar.
The new zones represent new and more powerful foes. Azshara is one of the most feared rulers in Warcraft Lore. If we went to her Kingdom and it was a joke because we had good gear from an old raid, that would feel like a gimmick.
Once we get Azshara’s Eternal Palace Gear, it should, and hopefully will, feel easier.
Well, hence the sharding issue. If Alliance/Horde was more stablized and much better balanced as far as players per shard, then there wouldn’t be a time issue.
