I’m working through the BfA meta achievement recently added in 11.0.7. One of the requirements it to complete each of the warfronts. Darkshore is active at the moment and I’ve tried queueing for it but the scenario never pops. I’m trying to join on a lvl 80 character so it will be soloable without a group. Was solo queueing tested prior to being included in the meta achievement? I have plenty of other parts to complete so I’m not currently blocked but I would like to check on this before that’s the case.
I don’t believe there’s solo queuing at all, let alone any testing for it done. The only documented changes I can find regarding warfronts is the reduction in the number of players required for matchmaking from 20/25 down to 10.
You might be able to jump down this little rabbit hole to see if it helps:
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately that community link has expired.
Given that the meta-achievement was just added less than a week ago, I don’t believe that it wouldn’t have been tested solo beforehand given than the characters to be completing it are lvl 80 for whom the content is trivial for. Someone (recently) made the decision to include it.
This was never the case. You always had to form your own group or wait a very very long time in queue.
It’s usually quicker to form your own group or see if one is forming. You can also post in Zuldazar/Boralus general chat to see if anyone in the area wants in.
I don’t understand why it requires 10 people though. Is it not possible to complete with less than 10 people, or does it require that many to start but once it starts 9 people could theoretically leave? If it’s the latter, why does it require 10 people to start still?
No thanks. Plenty of threads for issues that have been unresolved/unchanged for years I’d like to get this in front of staff.
Bolded for relevance to your question. As far as leaving after it starts, I didn’t go diving that deep but I’m sure someone out there has some anecdotal info about it.
The staff here do not have any jurisdiction or involvement over the game itself, they would not be able to assist in the way you would like. The team you want aware are the developers.
They can only be reached through QA via the Bug Report forum, or through the Community team in any of the Community forums. General Discussion would be a catch-all for something that doesn’t have a close-fit sub-forum, but I feel this makes more sense in the Dungeons, Raids, and Scenarios forum.
The staff that frequent the Customer Support Forums, have no involvement with development of the game.
As stated with multiple quotes by the Support Forum Agents:
Sorry Vrakthris for all your quotes.
Your feedback and suggestions aren’t going to get through to development if you post it here in Customer Support. Especially when Customer Support is a player to player help forum, as what we do here is help point people in the right direction.
Want to suggest something for the game, then you’ll need to put it in a more appropriate location, such as General Discussion forums or via In-Game.
They have never adjusted the amount or spawn rate of the materials needed. With 10 people it takes ages to get enough to complete the scenario. You still have to build everything and have the scenario play it’s course. It is miserable with 10 people, it would be torture with just 1.
You are asking for a complete Warfront retool. That is not something this forum can help with, you will need to provide feedback in game, in general forum, or the Scenario forum.
Thanks for the extra details, that makes sense. I think that these should be updated along the same lines as the raids that were also made soloable. Something to get on the backlog for the future, that is.
I can do this as well but the problem is that it doesn’t provide any ticket number to track the issue so there’s no record of how long it takes them to resolve it. The forums are imperfect but at least everyone can see how long the issue has been present for. This is important because they would be tracking the mean time to resolution.
Call me cynical but my experience in corporate America has taught me that unless a PM or exec is being dinged at a monthly status meeting for # of tickets open greater than a certain number of days then there’s no pressure for those issues to be addressed. If tickets were kept open instead of telling people to post on the forums or submit feedback etc then I suspect their internal metrics would be wildly different.
Regardless, posting here is about all we can do. No need to copy pasta I’m well aware of their statements but I take them with a grain of salt. It may not amount of anything but at least there’s a paper trail.
And who do you think your feedback, suggestions or bug reports will go too? The Support Forum Agents? They have no involvement with the game development, nor will pass on any feedbacks, suggestions or bug reports from the community to the development.
The policies each team which works for at Blizzard is final. There is nothing to take a grain of salt with when they have to follow there internal policies on what they can and can’t do.
There would already be a trail of how long. When the feature was originally released up until the patch notes say it was changed.
And it may not ever be changed. As was mentioned above, it may break too many other things to make it possible to retool how Warfronts work. It may not be worth the time it would take to figure it out. It may simply be how the game designers and devs want it to work, whether we agree or not. There’s so many factors that go into decisions like that and it’s rarely a single simple answer.
If you are after the achievements your best time is now, as more people are working on them too. It’s usually best to attempt them as close to the launch time for the Warfront as possible. Keep a constant eye out on the LFG, or simply start one yourself.
While Blizzard is already fully aware of people’s desire to see changes to Warfronts (this convo has been going on since the moment Shadowlands released), keeping your thoughts here will do absolutely nothing towards potentially getting any changes made. No one who could even potentially make that decision comes to the Support forums.
