Bastion spoilers

LOL here you are complaining about not existing because of what happens to bastion and that makes you want to make everyone else not exist.

Presumably, the angel/val’kyr theming of Bastion is supposed to engender positive feelings from the players, but it’s just the surface of an authoritarian hellscape from what I’ve seen. Though I suppose it remains to be seen if Blizzard actually recognizes the implications of what they’ve written, or if they’re taking the attitude of “it’s okay for utopia to be an authoritarian hellscape because it’s utopia and that makes it good by definition!”

Given how much they’d prefer players just sit down, shut up, and do as they’re told, I’m guessing they’re not going to recognize that rigid authoritarianism is bad.

Once, the Jailer kept only the most dangerous souls in the cosmos confined in this eternal prison. Now, some of Azeroth’s greatest heroes are trapped here, and you’ll need to rescue them from the Jailer’s tower before he expends their very souls.

Torghast the Tower of the Damned doesn’t simply torture everyone as it expends their Souls which naturally kills them deader than dead!

Its religion like I keep saying, are you gonna tell hindus that there relgion is authoriatrian hellscape lol? bastion is the training grounds for spirithealers and the like, (they become ready for an eternity of service as a Val’kyr, spirit healer, or one of a couple of other paths) I know its hard to grasp what becoming ascended is for some people but for some being cleaned of your sins, of your self and achieving a greater purpose is what some people what in life. I mean you think if you go to heaven gods is gonna let you kill other spirits, seems pretty authoritarianism too.

im okay with being deader than dead, instead of becoming a blank slate, that just sounds like a mercy

Either way why does it matter, you’d obviously dont cut it to go to bastion anyways, good thing there are a million of other realms right. lol

Hopefully Blizzard condemns Bastion’s way of doing things which naturally condemns Hindu for it’s desire to have all become Vishnu.

Hindu’s counterpart in Eastern Religion Buddhism of course wants to offer a chance to stop a thought process in it’s tracks before it can move into another entity and be reborn(the Dalai Lama thought process is going to flow into the an elected Dalai Lama so flow of thought into another person can happen while still alive)!

The Buddhists are accepting of people wanting to preserve thought processes(though discourage eating Cows as it causes their thought process to flow into the next Cow killed rather than someone else) as killing thought is not for everyone.

I don’t think any of the afterlives are supposed to be appealing to mortals. The trailer even says that the shadowlands was never meant for mortal eyes. It’s supposed to be unpleasant, weird, alien, and even horrifying. Revendreth and Maldraxxus are obvious in this, Bastion is somewhat more subtle, but as we see from the spoilers, it doesn’t seem like a good place.

I’m willing to bet Ardenwaeld will also look less appealing once we actually see what it entails. Some of those nature creatures did look quite sinister afterall.

all im getting from that is i should join sylvanas and destroy these afterlives, ending reality sounds like a mercy at this point.

WoW forums are not the place for real world religious discussions so I’m just going to offer brief advice, but you should study world religions more as your take on enlightenment is not at all universal.

The moment you realize that Shadowlands is the video game adaptation of Sausage Party…

You people know you don’t have to choose Bastion right? If it bothers you all so much. Maldraxxus is probably better for the lot of you.

When atheists get butthurt over a video game afterlife

The amusing part about this is that if Bastion was the Light sanctuary where all good little souls go for eternal paradise, people would still be upset.

What if I don’t worship the light where do I gooooo why does blizzard hateeeeee meeeeee. Like that probably right?

None of them seem appealing. Maldraxxus is extreme Darwinism for eternity, Revendreth is sadism for eternity, Bastion is surrendering everything that you were in life or being cast out and hunted, and it’s only a matter of time until we get the dark side of Ardenweald I’m sure.

What if they added a convent where souls hang out and have fun but if you join it you get no new abilities or gear for the whole xpac
