Banned again

At this point I feel my account is targeted for some reason, only incident that I can recall is defending myself. Are we not allowed to talk in game anymore? Big brother watching everything we do. What has happened to this game. Do I need to create a new account that isnt targeted? seek legal representation?

Gonna take a shot in the dark here but; are you talking about flinging insults back at others?

It entirely depends on what this means and how it was done.

If someone was saying something hostile that doesn’t fit the rules of the CoC, then you report, ignore and never respond to them.

This could also be for something entirely different.

You can appeal using the link in your email.

I would like a response from a GM, because if my account is being targeted it is harassment against me at this point. Ive been playing since nilla and never had issues, since mid dragonflight my account has been constantly harassed

There are no GMs here. You’ll have to put in an appeal. This is a peer to peer help desk with assistance from Support Forum Agents.

Bans are permanent, so I’m thinking it was a silence, or probably a suspension if it’s been multiple times.

You can chat in game, but avoid toxic behavior, if you see it in other players behavior then report it, don’t respond in kind.

Blizzard is reacting to reports, so this is not targeted. Starting a new account will only work if you avoid the mistakes you made in the past.

There isn’t any GMs, but we do have blues who can look into this and give their piece of mind on this. But I will say that; the Blues her can see EVERYTHING said and done on the account, to basically the moment by moment play. I don’t know if/when a blue can show up, but you can wait.

If your being toxic back breaking the same rules the others are u will be held acountable if reported.

If you are breaking the game rules and get reported then your account will be penalized. If you don’t say things you should not, nothing will happen to you.

Blizzard depends on reports to capture name, server, chat channel, time stamps, chat logs. The GM will review those to determine if an infraction occurred. It is pretty black and white.

We have never been allowed to use profanity, masked profanity, slurs, hateful speech, sexual innuendo/content, illegal/illicit references, spam, advertising, etc.

It does not matter who starts it or if it was directed at someone or not. Just don’t do that stuff, esp in public channels/groups.

Two week suspension

Your email should give you a category reason for the suspension.

Two weeks means this is the social third penalty on that license - if this is for a chat/social infraction.

Reporting you for valid infractions is not “harassment”.

Never ever let yourself get baited into saying something you should not.

The ‘social contract’ is so vague that they can use anything against you if they feel like it

Legally speaking? Blizzard can do whatever they want with the accounts. They own it, we rent said accounts from them. If they wish to close an account for no reason, that’s within their rights to.

It never used to be like this, something has changed. You used to be able to communicate in this game, now its not even worth talking to people

Yes, they made it easier for people to report players who are violating the rules  The rules themselves have not really changed since launch…especially when it comes to inappropriate language.
