First I heard of it. I’m not hearing anything from my multiboxer friends.

Seems to be only the ones using HKnet the ISboxer users seem unaffected

I’m not aware of anything, but there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that I may not hear of right away.

Honestly… you don’t have the information to say it was multiboxing that was getting then banned, Just assumptions. Blizzard doesn’t really comment on stuff like this.

the accounts I used to multibox got banned, just got the email but friends on discord have also been banned for today

If there was a ban wave of mutliboxers, the forums would explode with “I told you so!!” Nothing has been said.

If you think you was suspended unfairly, you need to submit an appeal.

Their accounts are locked from the forums so they cannot post they already submitted appeals so I dont think anyone is tracking it

I’m sceptical. We are not getting all of the information. These forums are also not the place to discuss these matters.

Ok so what is the place then? And I am more than happy to give whatever info is needed, there’s no need to cyber flex

Not on the wow forums, I can tell you that. Sorry the you see this as “cyber flexing” whatever that is…

But we have seen plenty of times on the forums almost every excuse and theory on why someone earned a suspension, and they are alway leaving out information or working from incomplete data.

Let’s back down a bit. :frowning:

There isn’t really a good place to discuss it, but I recommend submitting an appeal ticket if you haven’t already: https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/product/wow/181/1450

So a suspension is not to be discussed on the wow customer support forums? I am confused on this. I have a wow account therefore a customer correct? So any concerns or issues can be freely discussed? I am not saying you have no right to be skeptical, I just asked what information is needed

Correct. The forums are not the place to ask why you got a suspension or to appeal it. The staff here generally won’t go into those details on the forums.

But again, I never asked for an appeal on here, I literally just asked if a ban wave happened

I’m not so sure about that part… I have in the past seen Blizzard blast peoples real reason they got suspended on this forum before. It’s always been amusing to watch.

That is why I said “generally”.

Generally speaking, discussion of account actions on the forums violates our Code of Conduct.

That isn’t to say that folks who aren’t sure what to do next can’t post. We’re happy to give instructions on how to submit an appeal, but this isn’t the place for the appeal or the appropriate place to discuss the actions.

Yes, but you may misunderstand the purpose of this forum. It is not a contact point for a Game Master, Account Management or a means to report an issue or appeal an action. The forums in general are for players to discuss the game and aspects of it. This forum specifically is for Customer Support related matters, such as advice on how best to contact support, what issues a GM may be able to help with, what kind of self help options are there, is there a policy about X, etc…

I hope that helps clarify things.

Thank you very much for clearing that up

Indeed. I think things started getting muddled after that. No worries, Amynris.

Just because is hasn’t been stated here, we don’t ban/suspend simply for multi-boxing. The practice is not supported, but it is currently considered viable method of play.

That said, there are all kinds of programs that aid people in multi-boxing. While some of them may be entirely benign, there may be aspects of the program that could be considered a violation of our policies.

If this is impacting specifically multi-boxers, it is possible something like that happened. Or, something else entirely was detected/in use. I can’t say we have never seen false positives, so if a mistake was made, that will be looked into during the appeal process, and after through the data collected.
