How would one go about that appeal? Asking for a friend who is 100% positive he did not break any rules and is willing to share any and all information to try to show that . . . Thanks!
Thanks much!
There should be a link in the email they received, but if not, the contact us option in the article Kozzae provided would be the next step.
hmmm none of mine have been hit so its probably not a purely multiboxing thing. Granted I donât run as many accounts as I used to XD.
The ones in Azsuna that were there for weeks are gone, i.e. botters/multiboxer
Do you think my friend, the multiboxer mistakenly suspended for botting, should submit the same appeal multiple times for each account or just one of them?
If they are all under the same battle.net, then it should be fine. Either way, he could mention all the accounts that got hit, and I believe that will do the trick.
Yeah i can confirm I use hkeynet and all my accounts were suspended. In the process of appealing. Hopefully they are not forcing us to use ISBoxer as hkeynet works just fine and is free!
I donât understand how theyâre obviously a bot. Theyâre running around in the same area, looking for mobs to killâŠ?
Some day I should upload a video of myself when Iâm on a farming spree, like while Iâm killing mobs to finish the Insane. I would guess I look like a bot, too, because Iâm running in circles around the same small area, scouring for a mob still alive to kill. Probably the same as when Iâm camping rare spawns, too.
Or is it because they didnât interact and respond to you when you followed them around and tried to beat them to tagging mobs? Or when you repeatedly accused them of botting? Funny, when people do that to me, I donât interact with them either⊠theyâre usually just looking to annoy someone, and trying to get a reaction, which is why I donât give one. Nor do I chit chat with random people who are trying to be bothersome. I prefer to focus on whatever task Iâm doing, and assume others are doing the same for themselves.
I assume you make a lot of sharp angled turns frequently when farming the same route without deviation and run into large objects as if stuck. You are doing WOW no favors by defending bots.
The orc is clearly using way points and the troll was just running into a wall after killing a mob. Did you watch the video?
I actually do get stuck on terrain, frequently. Know why? Because farming mobs endlessly is really, fantastically boring, so Iâm usually also watching a movie at the same time. Which means Iâm not always staring at the path Iâm taking, and end up getting stuck on a piece of landscape somewhere. I also do make random turns and erratic movements, because a mob may have spawned behind me, or off to the side, or any number of other reasons. Most times I run the same route over and over, because itâs reliable, and the mobs tend to spawn sufficiently⊠which I would guess might make it look like Iâm botting.
Of course I did, did you read my reply to you? I clearly mentioned specific points from the video, like how you followed the orc, and accused both of them of botting, and tried to snipe tags from them.
Iâm not defending bots, Iâm defending characters that most likely have a player behind the monitor, and because in the past, while Iâve been at my computer farming something, Iâve had people accuse me of botting, and threaten to get me banned for it. Things arenât always as they may first appear.
If you believe theyâre botting, keep reporting them. If they are, theyâll get caught and punished. Maybe not in an acceptable timeframe for you, but thatâs just how it goes.
Yes. Itâs not hard with a mouse.
Yes, if I hit a lag spike, it will look like that to another player who didnât experience it.
The overall point is that, as players, WE cannot confirm or deny anything to do with another player in this game. If you suspect, then right-click report them for cheating, and Blizzard will investigate. No, a lightning bolt does not come from the sky. No, they will not tell you the results.
yep, i do this all the time if iâm cramming food into my gob with one hand.
is there a chance they could be bots?
sure.
thereâs also a chance they could be players.
Definitely could be a bot. Right click report them all. Remember, this ban wave may not have picked them up, but eventually Blizz will get 'em. If it turns out not to be a bot, no harm done.
Also, since it hasnât been mentioned yet, you need to remove the video link you posted, as callouts are not permitted on the forums.
People giving real life examples of how they, when in control of their characters, have encountered situations that you unilaterally categorize as botting is not wearing âBlizzard coated gogglesâ, Pachins. Itâs to show that there can be more to the story than your limited perspective. Can those behaviors be automation? Of course. Are they all? Of course not. And that is just one of the reasons why they are not smited down on the spot when reported.
There are countless Bliz posts that explain why botters, suspected and real, remain for so long after being reported: there is a process that serves a much larger and more effective purpose in the fight against automation than simply smiting them then and there.
Not worth wasting my breath or videos here anymore. This is a major problem that is not being addressed. It takes too long for these accounts to be banned allowing them to collect enough resources and effect the economy. If the cost of purchasing another account out weighed the $ they receive during the farm runs they would cease to continue. This is not the case.
My only point was that sometimes I may look like a bot when Iâm on a farming streak, even though itâs 100% me at my computer the whole time. Things may not always be as they appear, and everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, since youâre only seeing one piece of the puzzle.
That doesnât mean they arenât bots, either. They very well could be. Which is why multiple people have said to right click report them. You can believe whatever youâd like, but only Blizzard has the means available to definitively see if the reported character is bottling or not.
And that too has been posted about by Bliz countless times. You donât have to believe what Bliz says, but your limited perspective isnât grounds to judge what goes on internally, what research and metrics on the problem have revealed.
Again, limited understanding. The vast majority of automation is by a global criminal enterprise that deals in stolen accounts/credit cards, meaning an endless supply of capital. That too has been posted by Bliz.
