Ban GDKPS in era

Yeah, you wish me the best, but you can’t do me the simple favor of a defending a single critique of your GDKP-shill essay. You were exposed directly contradicting yourself, you can’t answer for any of the issues with your argument, and now you’re feigning some kind of moral superiority to avoid having to answer.

By the way, since you’re so concerned with insults - you should go back to your first post and check who insults who first.

You probably didn’t notice how transparent your concern trolling is because you are pathologically dishonest like all of the GDKP shills.

Here’s a link to help you find it - turns out you only made it 3 words:

The dude is a neckbeard. He’s emotionally invested and you won’t be able to convince him. He is literally getting ofr on all of this

The GDKP debacle is no debacle and it’s easy…

At the end of the day…

No1, not 1 of you, not I, regardless of how we may feel about GDKP and it’s PTW cousins such as boosting,

are going to tell whales or anyone for that matter how to play their video game.

They’ll quit or find a workaround. They’re (We; all gamers) not going to suddenly start playing and conforming to your standards.

You’re only hurting the game and everyone as a whole when we suffer collateral damage due the over-measured, draconic sanctions they usually implement.

And it’s really as simple as that.

No one is going to quit over a lack of GDKP

Unless they were financially benefitting from GDKP

And those people should be banned for RMT anyway so who cares

That’s neat. But GDKP is a realm wide loot system. It transfers to any other guild that does GDKP or to anything else you can spend gold on, which is why it’s the best loot system.

People like to blame GDKP for RMT. But there are actually only three reasons why RMT exists.

  1. Players willing cheat.
  2. People wanting to profit from the cheaters.
  3. Blizzard’s negligence.

These three things are what we should be focusing on. The only thing that blaming a loot system does is give the cheating players, gold sellers and Blizzard a scape goat.

$90 mounts?

You must be some kind of expert on WoW demographics and their play habits to make a clearly false statement like that…

Who’s “no1?”

I’m fine with having legalized RMT and introducing the token to era.

You can ignore my experience if you want but…

I’ve never bought gold
I love GDKP for keeping the raids alive
I would quit raiding altogether if GDKP was banned

Botted gold or not doesn’t change the fact the loot system is amazing for the game as a whole

All botted gold does is change the relative cost of things

No bots an item sells for 100g instead of 1000g with bots, but it’s all relative value. If items sell higher from inflated gold, then guess what? It means a new player can sell minerals/herbs with gathering at a higher cost as well, allowing them the gold necessary to start getting into GDKP raids.

So you see? GDKP is not the Boogeyman people think it is

The game would simply be dead without it

Hard pass.

Well, it’s a good thing I’m lobbying to the company and not to what other players think.

And BTW…

You’re completely wrong, and blind, on that notion if you don’t think GDKP and RMT go hand in hand.

RMT creates a negative experience for players. But people don’t realize it. The people buying gold don’t realize the negative impact it has on their own experience. These people don’t realize that the journey is the game. Skipping the journey defeats the purpose of playing the game in the first place. It’s like paying extra money for Final Fantasy 7 so that you’ve already defeated ruby and emerald weapons. The challenge is the game. The obstacles which prevent you or slow you down from reaching the goal is what makes the goal valuable. Every obstacle removed cheapens the value of reaching the goal. It’s like using a game genie or game shark or typing in cheat codes. It literally makes the game worse.

Please, if you actually enjoy gaming, do not ask for or encourage RMT.

They don’t though. They merely coexist in WoW because cheaters exist, gold sellers exist, and Blizzard doesn’t do enough to combat these problems. GDKP does not mean that RMT has to be a big issue.

I don’t even have the energy to break down all your bad logic anymore; and, I could easily, starting with your very first few sentences.

  1. It’s painfully obvious to anyone that plays era, especially the Whitemane cluster, that GDKP is big RMT business.

  2. I’m not for GDKP, but I’m not against others engaging in it… I’m the wrong person to challenge on this issue because I will expose both sides of the issue for the liars you all are.

Please do.

And why is that?

Cheaters exist. Gold sellers exist. Blizzard isn’t doing enough about it.

And the majority of players aren’t RMTing, by the way.

Blaming a loot system creates a scape goat for cheaters who will continue to cheat. It creates a scape goat for gold sellers who will keep selling gold. It creates a scape goat for Blizzard who will keep prioritizing profits at the expense of quality in their games.

Blaming a loot system does nothing to discourage cheaters. Blaming a loot system does nothing to discourage gold sellers from selling gold. Blaming a loot system does nothing to encourage Blizzard to stop gold sellers or gold buyers.

I never said it was the majority…

But at first glance, it looks that way by the sheer amount of people I see engaged in it.

I know, because I make a habit out of killing GDKPers when I can.

It’s not just about cheaters and bots. It’s about the entire end-game goal of the game becoming P2W.

What about in WotLK where buying gold is not cheating since you can buy it direct from Blizzard. Is GDKP not a P2W-RMT loot system in that game?

Blizzard could introduce an untradeable cash shop currency that you have to use to bid on items in raid. It would be impossible to “cheat” for DKP in that case, would that be good for the game? Why or why not?

Still going after I exposed your excessive lying and concern trolling, as if anyone should bother listening to such a repulsively dishonest person.

We know. All of the RMT parasites who are selling the GDKP cuts will be gone once it is banned.

Yeah. It is. That’s exactly what RMT is about. Cheaters create the demand for the bots which give them the ability to cheat by paying money. Cheaters and bots. That is RMT.

Yes, GDKP becomes pay to win when you have sanctioned RMT. But it’s still cheating. It’s still cheating just like typing in a cheat code is cheating. The developer put it in the game but it’s cheating just as using a game genie is cheating.

And Blizzard introducing RMT into the game to combat bots is one of the most comically backwards solutions ever. It’s like reducing crime rates by legalizing crime. Brilliant from a money making perspective though I suppose.

people against GDKP never seem to be able to wrap their heads around the fact that most people who enjoy GDKP do not buy gold…

They need this to not be the case because their entire argument hinges on the belief that everyone must like GDKP because they just buy gold to circumvent the usual progression path…

thats not how it plays out for people like me who DO NOT BUY GOLD!

We can casually play whenever we want and return to the game with the GDKP system and not be behind in progress, or return to a dead game where everyone quit because it was impossible to form groups due to lack of incentive.

What you are asking for will simply KILL THE GAME

congrats! no one is RMTing! but also the game is now dead…

its always the people that are so certain that what they believe must be implemented because then a utopia will form that leads to chaos…

you’re so focused on “defeating RMT” that you don’t even care about the collateral damage of destroying the game as a result of your conquest to be right.

Yes, he is.

These fervent anti gdkp players don’t hate RMT, they just really hate gdkps and know they are “untouchable” in their opinion as long as they use RMT as their shield against any pro gdkp statement.

“I like gdkp” is followed by “you’re a gold buyer” every time by these people, because they don’t view any gdkp player as a player in wow, they view them as the enemy who has ruined the social aspect of wow, broken apart guilds, and entices rampant rmt. No amount of discussion will ever change these people’s minds.

But I promise you if gdkp was banned across the board, you won’t ever see these people making 100+ post threads about how the AH needs to be removed for its high activity in RMT, they won’t pay attention to bots running rampant, they won’t condemn high price vanity items that encourage mass gold dumps from people who rmt it, they won’t pay attention to anything rmt related at all because it was never about rmt, it was always about hating gdkps.

These players have always been and will always be clowns.

It follows that unsanctioned RMT would also make GDKP P2W. Do you have some kind of actual idea for how Blizzard is going to stop all botting and gold buying when every single online video game that allows players to trade has failed for the past 20 years?

It’s funny how you keep talking about how “things were in 2006” when your guild died. What actually happened in original vanilla-to-wrath, when GDKP was unheard of, is that the game tripled in subscribers to something like 15 million players before RMT, Carry-raids, and WoW token came along and rotted the game into a soulless RMT-FOMO-oblivion.

The reason people hate GDKP is precisely because it is a P2W, RMT, loot system. In every version of classic except era - Blizzard sell the gold directly themselves.

And yeah, I would rather League of Legends sell a $50 character skin, then have to swipe $5 for every item I want to buy an item in an actual match. I prefer neither, but I am not even going to consider playing the later version.
