Depends on the criteria but most sources that compile current “sundown towns” simply require a certain percentage of the population to be white in order to declare that the town is irredeemably racist.
in the 90s people were more vile and toxic, the interenet was wilder than it is now.
yet there were less weird crimes like we see today.
i dont think cancel culture helps tbh. might even be worse since people have nowhere to vent

It is unlikely you will be reported for using profanity appropriately, like a word or two when you screw up and get yourself killed. If you’re raising heck trolling in trade chat in order to annoy other people you see as deserving of being trolled because they are “too sensitive”, you will get reported for any profanity you use.
There is no list of “bad words” that should not be used outside of those that are commonly accepted to be profanity. Abusive speech is whatever the listener thinks it is, and if you annoy enough people with your abusive speech, you have violated community standards. If you play videogames in order to insult and abuse people who you think should be powerless to defend themselves, you’re playing the wrong game.

We all know this.

Those are just words aren’t they?
But they’re powerful as are so many other words that can damage us.

Yeah… this doesn’t add up. Because all you are doing here is celebrating hidden statistics, in other words … instead of reporting crimes (if they even were crimes at the time), folks would shut up and allow people to behave in said vile and toxic fashions.
Also “weird crimes” doesn’t make much sense, since this can be endlessly reinterpreted.
Two things:
- Go see a therapist if you have these many issues.
- “Cancel culture” exists as a natural extension of “I have had enough of your vile and toxic 90s behaviour so leave me the hell alone!” In other words, abuse is less accepted now’a’days and “cancel culture” is a natural extension of that.
So you are just, at best, categorically wrong.

Reported someone this week for using the slur of all slurs against a player who messed up a mechanic in Palace which wiped the group. In my 20 years of playing this game, I’ve definitely encountered it more than 5 times.
I report the r-word as well, while not racist, it has no use in civil conversation.

The OP themselves suggested that players using racial slurs should just be silenced instead of suspended/banned. While that’s not completely defending, that’s definitely trying to downplay it to a degree that seems pretty meaningless.
