Meanwhile the bots are living their best lives… Oh Blizzard. You truly do suck.
Nah some guy was mercing botters on HC servers recently and caught a lot of blowback over it. Doxxed, death threats, etc.
Overwhelming response here in GD was that he should have minded his own business. That he was “messing with people’s money.”
I am fully onboard with people quitting this game because they’re not allowed to say slurs. I am 100% sure that if you do this an awful Californian company like Blizzard will be “forced to change”, whatever that means.
You should definitely do that.
Imagine letting words on the internet actually have an impact on you…
Wha the heck? Profanity is seriously a bannable offense? How do you enforce that with words like damn? Like, is there a list of words and how ‘offensive’ they are? That would be interesting to see what you guys determine to be bad words.
imagine getting upset about having to follow rules you agreed to.
Wait until you hear about people letting words in real life have an impact on them too
its been that way since the beginning. its just the old system of reporting was you had to open a ticket type in the players name and date, etc, etc. now its just right click report.
you mistake mocking and laughing at people for getting upset. Tisk tisk.
I mean why else why you be this invested in defending it?
Defending it? Oh wait… you have 10000000000 posts. You just like to argue. Bye.
Alright lay one of your jokes on us comedy genius, let’s hear it
Most people in GD are retail mains and the game has systematically made itself as stupid as possible for years so it only makes sense.
It’s like all these crazy Snyderverse people nowadays. Guy made bomb after bomb for a decade and pretty much had WB execs ready to kill the DCEU, but now that Gunn has a Superman movie coming there’s a cult of Snyder enjoyers storming the internet. If only they stormed the Theaters instead.
My point is humans are a pretty crap race both in game and out. The majority aren’t really worth keeping around for anything other than labor.
I think that’s a bit disingenuous. I haven’t seen anyone here defending the use of racial slurs. I think we can all agree that if someone uses a racial slur, they absolutely deserve to face consequences. But let’s be real, people are way too eager to report even the slightest thing these days.
As a person of color myself, I can honestly say that in my 20 years playing this game, I’ve encountered maybe five instances, at most, of someone saying something truly racist.
Reminds me of the people that complain about the pay gap between things like the NBA and WNBA but wouldn’t watch a WNBA game if it was the only entertainment option they even had. It’s like…watch the stuff, buy some merch, have some concession snacks. That’s how you get them paid.
Most folks will do a lot just to have the opportunity to look down their nose at others.
One of the literal easiest rules of thumb for online conduct is to consider, for a second, what would happen if you said what you wanted to say in the middle of a Wal-Mart, McDonalds, or somewhere like it at a volume that’s at minimum conversation level.
If the answer to that consideration is “people would turn their heads and look at you funny,” then you might realize you’re just making a butt of yourself. If the answer is “someone will yell at you/someone will throw hands at you/an employee will tell you to leave the premises” you should probably not.
no im asking a question. doesnt have an argument goes with the good old “your post count high lol” statement.
I’ve literally said worse things while working in a Walmart than I could get away with on WoW.
“Why can’t I just constantly spew my hate everywhere without consequence! Why can’t you people just ignore me instead… until I get bored and start creating alts or buying second accounts to do it all over again!” – Silly racist man
