Ban Culture of 2024/2025

That was me when I was a teenager. My feet grew faster than my body did. I am tall now but at the time I looked like I wore clown shoes I was like dumbo tripping over his ears I would trip over nothing but my feet.

Mine was only with us for 5 years unfortunately I loved that little guy. He got sick and died. It was so fast that it happened I couldn’t even get him to a vet in time by the time I noticed him. And I interacted with him a lot. Now I say he but honestly we never knew at the time until one day he had his manhood out cleaning himself so it was confirmed 3 years after we first got him lol.

There’s an important thing to keep in mind. Of the millions of people who play this game there are thousands who use the forums. Of the thousands in the forums there are hundreds who dominate the form and delude people (including themselves) that they “speak for the community”.

They don’t. If by community you mean the millions who play this game, it is not really a community at all since only a small fraction talk to each other.

I haven’t.

If they don’t use profanity or abusive behavior they won’t get suspended yet alone banned.

Oh, I see. This is one of those “I should be able to say whatever I want and abuse other players because they can choose to use the profanity filter and filter out the profanity from the abusive language I have chosen to use” things.

I mean there have been instances of people using racist slurs for pet names on hunters , seen it more than I should honestly which is rather sad.

Pretty sure the original premise of warcraft is extreme racism (orcs vs humans)

Not sure if serious dot jpeg.

It wasn’t racism. The Orcs didn’t care who or what they killed.

Filled with the demonic blood of Mannoroth,[45] these creatures lusted for war and would destroy anything that prevented them from reaching their goal; to conquer Azeroth.[46]

Their reason for being on Azeroth was because of this:

The people of Azeroth were unaware that the powerful human mage Medivh was seeking a way to destroy this kingdom and wreak havoc on the lands. With the help of an other-worldy being named Gul’dan, the two managed to open a portal between their two worlds, a portal which would later became known as the Dark Portal.[42][43]

The extreme racism didn’t roll around till III with the way humans treated orcs.

The most based thing ever written on these forums. I love Tiff.

Times change…but they also change back. I think a lot of people can feel the wind is blowing from a different direction these days.

Ive seen what used to be unassailable positions giving ground of late and hard full blown reverses in select circumstances.

I wonder where the pendulum will swing next.

2024 was crazy next year is goanna be also crazy, Californian companies will be forced to change this happens every 4 years welcome to the internet.

Doesnt matter. Only Blizzards goals matter. We are mealy subjects in their world

There is no ban culture just like there is no cancel culture, there is only consequences by your own actions.

correction we are customers should we all decide to not play game loses money employees lose jobs we are not subjects we pay their checks.

Let me guess, you didn’t go into more detail about what this “disagreement” was about because you’d most likely be banned on these forums too

I mostly PvP on my 80s and boost friends for PvP with this twink. The number of times I’ve seen someone say something as harmless as “You guys suck, get out of mid and help”, only for others on the team to immediately respond with “That’s a report”, is honestly pretty shocking. People are way too quick to escalate minor stuff like that, and they are more than happy to announce they are reporting the other player .

This usually then devolves into a flame war back and forth.

The person threatening to report then doubles down, trying to bait the other player into saying more by egging them on in an argument, as they stand on their faux “moral high ground”. It’s a ridiculous.

The odd part is that people will want you banned over a microaggression but will go to bat in defense of botters. At least here it seems that way.

It’s quite backwards.

I’ve not seen anybody defend botters, I’ve always thought they were universally hated…
But I’m also not constantly on the forums in drama threads either .
