as you can see in this thread, there are bunches of people who don’t understand what multiboxing is.
they think it’s against the rules.
they think it’s botting.
they don’t even understand what it is they hate… they just need to hate everything.

Stop hatin! They have a right to mock rpers as well as you have the right to mock streamers! MB has been an issue forever and they are as disruptive to a server, or more, than streamers are.

Both inject unnecessary amounts of unbalanced gold into the economy via the same method.
And that is Parallel gaming.
For X amount of time spent, you gain a multiplier of materials/capital gained by scaling up the operation.
The end result is the same, and it uses the same manner to achieve it (multiple characters doing a synchronized action).
Multiboxers are just poorly programmed bots if you were to create a proper spectrum.
I can get behind this anti-botting movement. It’s about time the player base stood up against cheaters ruining the game for everyone else.

People will never not conflate botting with multiboxing, you should know this by now.
Lag due to playing an MMO with lots of people is not comparable to lag due to bots running on a script.
The fact you and the people who liked your post can’t comprehend that difference astounds me.

If his band of merry men is causing people to lag out then what’s the difference?
you must have a very skewed view of things if you think playing multiple characters at the same time to advance them, is the same thing as exploiting for real world gains.
Just play the game like everyone else does.
There’s no point in having multiple characters across multiple accounts other than to exploit/abuse it to gain an advantage.

some people “play” the game by spamming trade chat with politics all day.

Both create excess materials beyond the scope that could be achieved on a typical solo venture (either by having 2-40 characters killing mobs for X period of time, or a bot playing nonstop with no rest). Both are a level of play not capable by individuals using 1 character alone while remaining at the keyboard.
And that is the primary crux of this argument.
