Baine cutscene (spoilers)

Oh no, whatever shall I do.

Such tragedy, how will I ever recover from this.

There are typically wards that prevent the use of such. Though since Umbric and Jaina can apparently bypass these wards by combining Arcane and Void magic, I guess there isn’t much reason other than, I don’t think Sylvanas sleeps or eats, and if she doesn’t eat, she doesn’t need the chamber pot.

Don’t need to say much else than this really. A fantasy war is at its best when its fun, when it tries to be serious we get BFA. What I wouldn’t give for the unending unflinching optimism of the orks of 40k to find its way to the pouting denizens of Orgrimmar.

Forsaken fans who like them being Scourge and not this weird “I do bad things but I’m justified because LORDAERON” pseudo-belief are the most honest fans, that’s about the only thing about them I can respect.

Haha, that’s a good one. Thank you for that laugh, chappy. :+1:

KBs? More like KGB.

I’m still bothered that raising a single guy is what sets the Horde schism in motion, and not Teldrassil, Undercity, or Darkshore.

Would have been nice if Baine made it clear he thinks this act of cruelty isn’t the last Sylvanas has planned.

Something like:

“How many more must sacrifice their freedom for your schemes, Sylvanas?”

Would have suggested he’s keeping a tally from Undercity/Darkshore/Derek and/or afraid she’s plotting to continue raising more people into undeath.

You know, I think the straw the broke the camel’s back isn’t Derek at all, but Zelling in this scene. Baine loses his composure and calls Sylvanas out for treating the Horde as pawns when she has him killed.

He says something like “How many times must we forsake our honor?” before she resurrects Derek. That’s similar.

It’s beginning.

Zelling is just the first. You’ll see.

Zelling got what he deserves. All that hard work for Derek’s body for nothing.

I have a real life fear of the ocean. So for me having to dive my character into the deep dark ocean was a nerve wracking experience for me. A quest that actually put me though real mental discomfort. I would have gladly killed Zelling myself.

I hope I can target his corpse so I can /spit on it for wasting mine and everybody else’s time. :rage: And if this is an attempt to make me feel bad about this, Blizz has failed miserably

I guess this is the Akiyass on the Horde-side.

Nathanos told you to do whatever Baine and Zelling told you to preserve the masquerade so he is as much to blame for all that good work going to waste as well.

If someone told Sylvanas that Nathanos gave permission to kill loyalists for no good reason should she kill Nathanos?..

Well depending on who’s perspective you are looking at things from for many horde it might not be immoral to kill at all. I mean if you have no morals what’s immoral!?

I can’t tell if blizzard is trying to strong-arm forsaken fans into disliking sylvanas, but based on Voss’s dialog I feel like they are. So they probably want Zilling and derek to be like a, oh see she isn’t really the god queen of the forsaken!

I doubt even this much character assassination would stop thrall fans tho, and she is the basically the forsaken’s Thrall.

This is normal forsaken business. They kill their own civilians for being caught. They don’t really care.

It’s almost as if there’s one actual canon story-line and another one that was tacked on at the last minute to provide an illusion of choice. I can’t wait until 8.3 where Nathanos has you sneak into Orgrimmar and unlock the door to Sylvanas’ bedchambers so Saurfang can kill her which will help us figure out his plans…or something.

I know a dozen other people have said it already, but it kinda seems like it all has to be a part of her plan? I mean, I am not expecting the story to make that much sense, but if they wanted to it would be easy to say derek is already brainwashed.

Did my eyes deceive or did Rokhan get an armor update?

YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN?!?!

Zelling comes off as a cool guy because he is willing to become undead to continue to help his family. That’s dedication. But he threw all that away to help “rescue” Derek, who is probably going to kill Jaina anyway.

They should’ve just went all out and showed a few forsaken chowing on Zelling’s corpse as Baine was walking away.
