Bad news for solo and world players

Man this guy has it figured out. Seriously. He gets it. Doesn’t seem like that difficult of a concept to grasp.

I kinda understand him.
Idk if he just doesnt like to play with other people, but the whole concept of a MMO is to do the content with a group, but if he is a solo player that only does solo content, he will never progress in the game.

Likely has something to do with Ion, or the misguided belief that designing the game around old raider concepts is somehow going to make the masses flood back to the game.

You’re making too much sense. You’re saying things that are entirely too easy to understand. You need to include really obscure conspiracy theories such as:

and things like this to help you to understand that we as players are somehow responsible for Blizzard’s decision making process, and that chasing the holy grail which is the new and returning player is the only way the game should be designed.

It doesn’t matter if it runs counter to how WoW has always played (with the exception of the god awful titan forging era) or if it’s based in reality.

Just make sure to throw out more bones for the disgruntled vulpera please.

A clarification.

They did not make tier exclusive / not drop at a world content level.

They just made the acquisition method completely RNG and capped at 2 weekly tries as opposed to slow and deterministic as it had been the previous two tiers.

Oh and they got rid of the world set bonus completely.

Shrug.

Unless you jump over to a private server you’re stuck with the new, bad and disgruntled Vulpera players alike.

The raid tier acquisition was always based on a weekly try from a specific boss, and it wasn’t guaranteed that your specific tier would drop.

In the Master Loot era, it was even worst, because the lead could put stuff on ‘res’, and if it dropped, you could only accept it.

With personal loot, it was based only in your luck, purely RNG.

Now, the tier needs to drop, and you need to have luck, the catalyst just came to help those unlucky players.

Eh, i have some world set from wpvp quests and vendors, tho

And now we have the catalyst which provided a slow and deterministic path towards 4 set for all.

Which is weird.

You could’ve easily translated tier onto world sets bonuses and have that upgrade into raider tier.

Or honestly if the world set bonuses were sufficient enough / well designed enough they could have foregone world content catalysing at all.

I don’t personally believe world content progression needs the class set bonuses. It just needs power progression outside of ilvl that improves the experience of doing world content to keep players engaged and give them long term goals.

A bunch of unmemorable stat stick armour pieces that drop interchangeably from content loot boxes doesn’t do that.

It doesnt. You can stick with the world pvp tier, that can even get upgraded, and eventually can become tier pieces.

But for that you gotta turn the Warmode On, and may be killed. But you’ll have a tier

Did you cut the second part out of that quote deliberately or?

About what? Power progression outside of ilvl ? Its impossible, you know that, right ?

You can even stick with the FR gear, that goes up to 392, or the gear from the assaults, researchers under fire and etc.

Ok. Quick question.

Which one is better?

Or

They’re both 350 ilvl

With random gear without getting the bonus? Both are equal.

Now, IF you have the other pieces from the first waist, its better, for two reasons:

1 - the tier effects
2 - it can be upgraded till 392

Ok so the first belt is better than the second belt despite being the same ilvl, obviously we’re ignoring what things can / can’t be upgraded to we’re purely doing same ilvl comparisons.

Sets are a great way to give prominence to rewards within the context of the content they’re acquired. The words “Can only be used outdoors in the dragon isles” are doing a lot of heavy lifting in allowing items like these to do cool and powerful things that help offer a sense of progression to these players that doesn’t affect anyone else doing higher content at all.

There’s none of that in 10.1.

As i said. That belt alone is as good as the other, because it alone won’t give all the bonuses it offers.

And as i said previously, it can be upgraded, and sometimes rewarded at higher ilvls from wpvp world quests

That’s the world PvP set, there was also one last patch.

It’s the world PvE set that’s missing.

See? Theres always a source of gear, you just gotta play it

So the source of progression for world PvE is to just PvP?
