Bad news for solo and world players

The game gives everyone the same choices in how they get gear. It does not lock anyone out.

If you do not like the consequences of the choices you make in the gearing process, then instead of whining about those consequences, you are free to make other choices about how you gear.

This thread, and all those like it, are players whining about the easily foreseeable consequences of the choices that they are making.

No.

It’s players asking for a better game, while you sit back and scoff people for daring to make the suggestion.

The only thing you’ve demonstrated consistently here is that you can’t stop lying about what other people say.

Of course it could be a comprehension issue in this case as you seem to be completely unaware about the conversation you’re replying to.

That’s their goal, to keep people playing on the gear grindmill lmao. I don’t know how this isn’t apparent. With the reduction in loot in M+, LFR rolling on gear and losing personal loot, and now this… lmao

You’re a solo player why does it matter? So you can kill a WQ mobs 10% faster?

Welfare gear for everyone doesn’t make it a better game.

This isn’t some secret, this is how this whole genre has worked since day 1.

I’m just going to point out that the you get 2-3x as much suffused gear as you got the storm sigils to purchase in a week last season.

They do this to themselves.

This is very much a “you” problem for people who cannot handle even playing in the vicinity of other players in the open world.

People who refuse to get with the program create their own problems. Fyrakk Assaults basically offer free gear.

Insert worlds smallest violin here

Never once in the entirety of this game did I think “oh man I don’t see as many people as I thought I would in the open world, guess ill just unsub”

This is pretty wild thought process…

Elitism isn’t much better.

Admittedly I do not understand how this stuff works. However, even though it will always exist, the condemning/complain of of “I deserve/need” and “you do not deserver/need” whatever between casuals and non-casuals seemed to have died back in DF. Sounds like Blizzard found a way to douse a smoldering fire with high-octane gasoline.

No-one deserves to get every reward in the game simply by subscribing and logging in.

Everyone who does subscribe and log in deserves the opportunity to earn those rewards.

The game is designed around the latter, and people whine because they feel entitled to the former.

Agree whole-heartedly. Just making an observation on the posts. SL was a dumpster fire of this chat on the forums. DF has been pretty quiet until now.

Defining what “opportunity” should qualify as “deserving” is and has been the part that’s causing division among the player base.

WoW is two very different games now open world and instanced.

The MMO doesn’t need the instance/esports, and the instance/esports doesn’t need the MMO.

Time to separate them.

Trading one extreme for another isn’t the answer either.

You either compromise for an agreeable middle ground or risk losing it all anyway.

It is… I don’t do mythic raid, so I can’t have mythic raid gear.

For solo players (Raiders, Mythic+ and PvPers need not answer) is there any reason to play current content? I’m not seeing it. We play current content to get…currencies for current gear? I can play one expansion behind, with catchups, and just enjoy the world and game. What is the point of playing current stuff? To me it seems boring. Just get stronger gear to increase our numbers. I canceled my sub but have a couple of weeks of left. Is there any reason for a solo player to pay for current content?
