Actually this is their chosen path for the game. They are trying to reduce subs so wow can die out. Anyone who plays rated pvp and has been posting feedback that has been ignored completely this whole expansion knows that Blizzard no longer cares.
You’re talking about sunsetting a game, and they would have announced that instead of an expansion.
But then everyone would stop playing. Not just pvpers.
You know just because you provide feedback, doesn’t mean it has to be paid attention to. I’ve seen lots of absolutely ridiculous claims about the balance of the game such as elemental shaman being trash in 8.1 and beyond, resto druids being hands down the worst healer, outlaw being a completely awful spec, the list goes on.
That’s the goal of sunsetting. You do it at the end of a product’s life cycle when you no longer want to pay the upkeep and development costs. It’s specifically to tell people to wind down their time in game and stop playing in anticipation of migrating them to the next project.
Correct, I am more informed on the current situation of EA compared to Overwatch as EA has been in the news recently for their scum and laws are being passed in Europe that could impact the broader landscape of gaming.
Correct, I think skinner boxes cross the line to being immoral.
Simply having something you can purchase that is expensive is not immoral, so I do not consider the brutosaur an issue.
You are starting to get it I think
Its not a scummy money grabbing move though.
Its just a money grabbing move. Nothing about it seems scummy to me, so I’m not mad.
I just meant bye as in feel free to quit wow if you are so badly triggered by this cuz lets be real it’s not gonna change.
Outside M+s, it is.
But wouldn’t they take drastic steps when a specific content in the game is almost a ghost town?
Nothing about expecting to reward Blizzard with 500 bucks for artificial scarcity on a digital product seems scummy to you.
As I said prior, that says more about you than anyone complaining about it.
But otherwise you couldn’t announce how much it doesn’t matter to you.
So thanks for keeping his topic alive.
I basically have. I don’t play but eight hours a month and I probably won’t be back when SL drops until 9.2, and that’s fairly generous.
God knows I don’t care about the conclusion to this godawful story arc.
I won’t say anything about the current state of pvp as the most I do is some rando bgs every now and again but, id say the fact that they still host esports events involving pvp means its at least somewhat still alive. Your personal opinion on whether its alive or dead doesn’t really mean jack all because at the end of the day its just some randos opinion and devs not listening to you isn’t a sign of anything at all.
Very true. Majority of pvpers unsubbing is definitely inconsequential. They are a minority in wow after all.
Blizzard isn’t communicating because they’re not going to say anything we want to hear. Q&A’s used to be a frequent thing but since BFA started Q&A’s became a show of justifications for bad decisions, and since Blizzard don’t wanna change any of those bad decision, the community started hating Q&A’s.
Unlike the Ghostcrawler era, where he used to discuss everything on twitter with the community, nowadays nothing is up to discussion, enjoy WoW as it is, or go away.
Seriously, i’ve heard this argument used every time a game gets the most inconsequential change since the beginning of time that its really hard to take seriously. If you honestly believe pvp is in a bad place, then actually give a detailed reason why. Don’t say vacuous stuff like “oh i dont like it. others dont like it so its bad” people have been not liking things since the first second the first human baby was pushed into this world and began crying it wasn’t warm enough for them.
Perhaps if players didn’t rage on them everytime they said or did anything we’d get more communication. It doesn’t matter what they say or do there is outrage about it these days, we have players outraged about a charity pet even. Players have even gone as far as threaten Blizzard employees. I understand why they don’t have open communication.
I’ve made multiple posts on it as many others have. But no, they said they want mages, locks and dhs to rule till shadowlands without any tuning. That’s just the way it is and if you don’t like it don’t play. Hence the wasteland that is rated PvP.
Honestly I am just shocked at the lack of response or any mention that this will be looked into.
I always love how every time you open your mouth, you blame players for something.
And yet out of the other side of your mouth, you try to say you don’t hate the playerbase.
It’s really quite amazing.
That’s telling it how it is. Are you trying to say that my comment isn’t truthful?
Ah, that’s your excuse.
Blanket statements are never truthful, they contain too many lies.
Okay, okay, you got me. Players don’t really rage on the forum over all sorts of stuff and they’ve never once threatened a Blizzard employee.
More blanket statements! They’re still not any close to truth, but boy do we feel really good about ourselves when we make them!
