Back in EverQuest maintenance was a whole day, and if they messed it up they had to un-do it and roll everyone back…as in experience and items…and there was nothing we could do about it.
Honestly a few extra hours of maintenance today is nothing to how it was back then.

Im not invalidating your frustration because im ok with it. I just don’t care as much. Yea, im at work right now, so i cant play anyway. If i was home id probably just play another game, or do something else.
I have a more of an acceptance/indifference for the reality of the situation. Though if you think it’s unacceptable, then go right ahead and be upset, but after over 15 years of playing this game on and off. I’ll say, being frustrated about maintanence will only just give you a plate of angry salad, and I’d rather eat a chili burger.

But to discredit or attempt to discredit what is happening is part of the problem my man. Im glad ur not affected…and that you think its okay. Just change the fact that your one person on here trying to defend against the frustration. Let people be upset. Just society it seems. This is the place we are supposed to come to talk about the state of the game, our feelings with it. Yet, its only met with skill issue…touch grass…unsub…maybe just say damn sorry you feel that way little bro…this is what ive done to make it affect me less…na…everyones always wrong LMFAO
Did i say any of those things? No, i never said touch grass, or anything like that. It seems like you’re arguing against them more than me. I’ve been very fair, and I even said you have the right to be upset. I just explained its not for me.
If you have a right to complain. Others have just as much right to disagree. Its not a heaven for complaints. Its discourse.
Back in my day it took me 2 months to grind from rank 12 - 13 in pvp because no one on the server was sleeping.
And you didn’t complain.
Back in my day, I remember grinding for the Winterspring Frostsaber mount. It took about a month of grinding 12 hours a day to get Exalted status with the Wintersaber Trainers. Blizzard eventually reduced the time (twice) because there were so many complaints from jealous players that didn’t have the mount.

I remember when Devs were GMs & would occasionally jump in game with us for impromptu events. It was rare but I actually recall at least a couple times. Between Vanilla & BC.

Yes, chaos in Alterac Valley but super fun!
Not an event, but we did see a GM sitting outside of a Delve during EA. Told my brother and I “Good luck!” and vanished lol.
Best one of all time was a crazy GM that was in Honor hold during BC. Kept turning us into frogs / sheep, and asking us to tell a joke. If it was bad, he punted you into orbit.

I remember this.
They summoned a raid boss (I think that’s what it was) in the city.

And imagine if servers were down 3-4 times a week LOL Imagine how long that would have taken!
Back in my day I grinded Timbermaw rep to exalted (took forever…) and when I got back to Ironforge there was some type of NPC yell in chat and everyone started whispering me asking me what I had done.
Or this one…back in my day, I ended Vanilla with 65k HK’s, #1 on server…and I did zero pvp in '05.
lol, you forgot feed your pet the right food or they leave you, oh having spirit on your gear for them
Maldraxxus, Burning Thicket
Back in my day, all your characters could share the same bank
The one I remember the dude was HUGE, as in I’d never seen anything that big in Azeroth yet. We all were following him around Elwynn. I can’t remember if we ever downed him or not but it was a blast.
