Back in my day

Back in my day, when you died, you’d have to ghost walk across 3 zones to get back to your corpse.

Sat up all night and had to call in sick to work the next day while waiting on a corpse run in plane of fear !

Back in my day, characters didn’t even get legs until lvl 10. Had to scoot around like a dog on a carpet.

My gnome wanted to ride an elephant, so ran at level 1 all the way to the dranei starting zone in order to start getting that rep up to exalted. That was fun.

My first ever dwarf had to get to stormwind for a quest, and I didn’t know about the train, and thought I had to walk. That was not fun.

Just hopefully they build off of them and don’t scrap it like everything else

I did the same thing from the other way … on this guy, I think. By the time I got to Searing Gorge I think my aggro radius was measurable in light years. So. Many. Deaths.

I remember flying over the Searing Gorge and looking down at all the level ?? spiders and being horrified by it

DPS had to carry wands to raid in case they ran out of mana so they could still hit the boss while they recharged.

Back in my day, I knew I was in for a bad dungeon run when you’d get in the instance and the hunter would say ‘Anyone got any meat?’

or arrows… that happened

Hearthing out of Karazhan after Moroes because I was out of ammo . . .

the aggro trains people would make getting out of those starting zone caves and then they would nuke everyone on their way back to their spot. “I just want the pick axe, let me just get the pick axe.”

Can anyone tell me where Mankrik’s wife is?

They need a title or award for “I survived 10 levels in Barrens Chat and still have my sanity!”

Still limited to one day. I would gladly give up Tuesday ALL DAY than have “random” maintenance added all week.

I was there. Three thousand years ago, when I could loot player bodies or accidentally die to a trainer by pressing A. Before the world was 3D, and Neverwinter couldn’t hold more than 500 people at once.

Well, that may just be what it takes. If you add all the recent maintances up. It probably would be closer to 8 hours, but right now its not a completely fair comparison, because its still a launch period. The game sometimes would be unplayable for days after an expansion launch bitd.

Before halfway I realised I had stuffed up, but at that point I had made so many corpse runs that I was going to stubbornly finish it. At least that trip prepared me for hellfire and the fel reaver.

Other memorable one was making a token belf, finding the portal at the far south of the starting zone. “i wonder where this goes?” Pop out into plaguelands with ?? level mobs everywhere. Get destroyed. Slink back to SMC.

Bro is not allowed to have fun.

Unplayable? You mean the ddos attacks on every xpac launch except this one? Everyone, including yourself, is blurring the lines. Blizz didnt ddos the expansions, and outside of some minor patches. Server downs were not maintenance. This, has been the most maintenance for a xpac in the first two weeks. What was alpha and beta for? Everyone defending is an absolute nightmare at this point, and why they continue with little to no explanation.
