Back in my day

…and the grind for the epic mount was…ten times worse.

The invincible mobs in blasted lands were great for that.

At least we could equip both melee and ranged weapons then…

I hated that place. I think one of my alts is still down there…

MORE than half. And Chuck Norris jokes are fun.

I had a friendly escort for that trip. It was one of the most memorable runs of my WoW existence. I paid it back by escorting other baby nelves across later when I was high enough level.

Eh, annoying but not the end of the world.

Ok, you got me there.

If we wanted to do battle grounds you had to travel to the battle ground entrance.

No quick q’ing.

I’ve stored some portal/teleport stones, a bit of ammo and the shaman reagents…

Good to see I’m not alone

Back in my day you needed ammunition as a hunter.

You needed portal stones for portals and you got paid to port people.

Needed vanishing powder to vanish as a rogue.

I instigated alot of SS and TM skirmishes.

Pets had different speeds so you could tame a ZG bat and it would chase down an epic mount.

Back in my day, getting on top of the IF mountain there required skillz

I remember there was a place in Loch Modan you could jump and if you did it right, you could make your way to the IF airport.

I did that once.

Back in my day gasoline cost 24.9 cents a gallon. Coca Cola could be purchased for 25 cents a bottle from a vending machine. A movie theater let you in for 50 cents and popcorn cost 25 cents a bag. Candy bars went for 5 cents or a dime. Yeah, when Mom or Dad gave me a dollar to go to the movies I was richer than Scrooge McDuck. I’m a Boomer - 76 years old and these days I can’t even wipe my butt without taking out a loan.

Have a nice day all y’all. See ya.

Might wanna look up what a boomer is.

OP is doing a lot in their thread, a portion of it is nostalgia and another portion of it is mocking folks crying about petty things.

I liked the post.

Back in my day, sometimes blink worked. sometimes you stood still. (even more than today)
Sunken temple was an event in itself.
STV was a death sentence.
there were only 8 races.
Everything you did as a mana user required drinking after. Doesn’t matter, you were sitting down and drinking.

Sitting down drinking? Thats a hunter weapon i think

Back in my day men could say what they wanted, like coke > pepsi! Yeah deal with it dudes! Yeah I said it!

It’s kind of hard to bring those days back because of the generation of gamers we have today compared to yesteryear. We can try to play on classic servers, but it isn’t the same because there’s years of data that allows us to get an edge over ourselves than we use to have.

All we could hope is new Fantasy Worlds that are similar to what we use to remember and start over, but a lot of players don’t want to jump ship to a new less forgiving world like how Ever Quest and Vanilla World of Warcraft use to be.

I support and like a lot of people’s reply’s because I remembered doing a lot of that and even more. Got my 1st computer back in 1978, was connecting peer-to-peer on a baud modem around 1981-89 and local mBBS from 1991-1995 and then graduated to the internet in 1995.

We also can’t forget the great minds of the former staff that worked at blizzard but are mostly, if not entirely gone.

Complaining because the other faction’s premade WSG had Paladins with multiple lives (bubble heal, LoH) and you only had Shamans.

Because they harassed and stalked women . . .

Well yeah blizzard is just like activision or ubisoft they’re pumping out those factory games mostly. This is why I was happy to see Delves at least cause it’s something that changes it up for everyone.

An old guild leader i knew IRL MET TWO of his ex wives in mmos. No joke

I wasn’t referring to any of that. I am talking about the product that came. And its not like 100% of the team was doing any of that weird stuff anyway.
