You get it mailed to characters 100+
The ones below 100 have to have it purchased from nat pagle by a character who can get into MOP.
You buy it…ONE at a time, since you cant carry more than one…and mail it to your sub 100 characters who can then equip it individually.

Its an absurd system

Personally I would have thought it would make sense to make it mount specific, but now i get it. I’m still not too upset. All that it really does is give every mount water walking. And then when flying is unlocked you can do the parachute or daze… still not a huge deal for the water strider to lose water walking.

nearly half of my characters were under 60.
MY game consists of a LOT of classic content.

uh…still…cant use the WWing I DID THE GRIND FOR TWICE UNTIL I PAY FOR THE WWing ON THOSE SUB 100 CHARACTERS.

And NO…we cant fly UNTIL level 60.
The vast majority of my characters are in the 20-59 range and have been using the strider where needed.

water walking mount is obtained normally at 70… when you have flying… and leveling to 60 takes like 5 hours?

and if your game consists of classic content… then I have good news for you bud… classic is a month away so go outside, smell the fresh grass and wait until classic comes out.

Oh no you don’t get a mount that is objectively better than other mounts anymore.

But it’s not, everyone has water walking now. Yea, yea, I know I would still ues my strider for water walking, Big deal, how does what mount I use change how you play.

Oh yea lets not forget how I would have 1 mount that could walk on water and then the mount equipment to be anti daze. But I can do that now, put water walking on, uses a barding, carry goblin gliders, and still have the mount speed from pathfinder. WoW I’M so over powered I have 1 mount that does every thing the mount equipment does. Nerf me.

1. Stop saying We… because you don’t represent anyone but yourself… there’s more people telling you you’re being ridiculous than there are agreeing with you…

Complaining on the forums over something small is pretty petty and dumb. if you didn’t get the equipment on toons under 100 then open up a ticket and see what a GM says… because the wowhead post says you need one 100+ on the server and then it opens up the equipment at 20 for the rest…

So maybe its a patch day glitch…

those striders we worked for only to have the main ability we worked taken away like this.

So much stupid. You get the ability without the fugly mount, for free once, as many times as you want for a huge discount.

Everyone else who wants water walking has to either get the rep to buy the item for a discount, or buy the player made items from the AH for an inflated price.

What you ‘worked for’ gave you years of use and now continues to give you a benefit.

This is the type of response that just makes me madder at Blizzard.
I already just assume that people like this are so self focused that they do not care about their fellow players any more…

…but, Blizzard could have made this a win/win situation rather than using the either/or option to create more community infighting.

This constant reminder of how broken and dysfunctional this community is just makes every bad decision that Blizzard makes, these days, seem even worse and breaks more of the bond that nostalgia has played in keeping me in this game.

There is less ands less tofeel good about any more and this is multiplied many fold every time Blizzard reminds me of how much distain they have for their own customer/players.

There is simply nothing that I find worth working for any more, in this game, when it can be removed, or nerfed to near unrecognizable at the devs pleasure.

My sub no longer buys more than an experience for a moment, with no assurance that anything that you do, or earn will not be removed in an instant if Blizzard finds a way to monetize doing it differently.

This is the gateway that every decision appears to be pointed to, by the devs now, and in their rush to rake in the dollars, they are turning off and running off more and more players who are just tired of a former theme park game that has been turned into nothing more than an emotional roller coaster.

Frustration, lack of communication, lack of respect from this latest iteration of devs, lack of interest in what players actually want, no vision to focus on what made this game great for so long, more and more either/or decisions that has turned fellow players into adversaries FIRST over EVERYTHING else…

I think I am about ready to step back from these forums more, as well. There is just not enough left, in the game, or on these forums, to come here and fight for and not enough people left who care to listen, or do anything about it.

Just look at how many players here have not one care about the fact that some of their fellow players are really upset that something that they worked for has been taken away and replaced with a sad shadow of what water walking was on their strider. This MEANS something to them and they are being treated like the enemy and talked down to like dogs.

In reality, the tone of many responses are of people who actually gloat over the loss and upset of other players. They are enjoying the frustration of their fellow players. They LIKE this kind of conflict.

There is virtually no community left, outside of some close knit guilds who have relationships that withstand what is happening with the game, NOT because of anything that the devs are doing to build community.

The frustration is just not worth enough any more to waste time, energy and emotion on forums where other players can’t see how bad these attitudes are for the long term interest of the game.

But, when the devs, who keep driving players out with their no hands on the wheel approach to community building, don’t care who stays, or goes any more, why would you expect anything positive to trickle down into the player base?

Too many players are just adversaries rather than fellow players now and one has to question if any of that is worth fighting for any more.

If people want the ability for lower level characters, they need to purchase equipment, or mail one which was sent to a character which was high enough to be eligible to receive one in the mail.
