My complaint:
I got an in-game mail from Nat Pagle telling my the waterstrider somehow evolved to become useless? Sorta like Garados evolving into a MagiCarp? He thanked my for my service and gave me a free trophy in the amount of “Anglers Waterstrider”. My question is; When will it stop blizzard? When will you stop short changing others achievements? I spent weeks! farming that rep during Pandaria xpac, spent 1000g to purchase it once i hit exalted. (with inflation im sure thats 10x the value now). When will you bring back the game I fell in love with where my time was rewarded and there was a “light/item” at the end of the tunnel that I KNEW i was going to get for my dedication? In the meantime i guess i’ll get back in the welfare loot line until Classic drops.

Just as mad as you are…those striders we worked for only to have the main ability we worked taken away like this.

You get that item for ONE character.

To regain what you had before - you’ll have to go buy a piece of equipment for each alt you have.

So the more characters you had - the more you get punished.

I worked years to collect all those flying mounts. They are all grounded.
I worked for months in every expansion to earn back the basic capability I earned, what do you think?

that’s why I don’t put much “work” into this game. as soon as things start to get fun, blizzard takes it away. i.e., freehold farming, strider, etc…

Also they tuned up the dismount feature so you basically HAVE to overwrite your water walking. My first 5m in the new zone and I got dismounted 8 times trying to ride 40 yards.

Good game Bliz. You win. I’ll skip your new zones I guess?

The change is nothing but positive. You’re whining for the sake of it, catching a few fish a day wasn’t a challenge. You aren’t special. And now the rep is a timewalker dungeon from exalted, it does not matter. You are still rewarded for your rep with the mount equipment for use.

This change does not hurt you, or anybody. And once flying is unlocked, you’ll forget all about the strider and the water walking equipment.

Yes - you can mail it to ONE other character.

The water strider used to work on all characters - now it doesn’t.

lol why couldn’t they left the water strider ability as is. No need for all the rep grind wasted. They could of have 2 systems.

Oh no, you get classes that can water walk for free on any mount. Yeah, stupid argument.

Well. Except for the Yak with the vendors, and the giant dinosaur with the auction house that can apparently walk on water. Oh and the Sky Golem.

I’ve gotten the mail on my lvl 110+ chars, and as far as I can remember I only did that rep on my main(MoP is when I quit playing, so memory of it is a bit fuzzy :stuck_out_tongue: ) .

correct.
we were baited into farming for it, and now it’s been taken away.
…but congrats on sounding like a true salty “non-strider owner”.

A challenge? No.
Time consuming?
Very.

hurt? no… hinder? very much.
Especially when there’s no flight below level 60.
