i am going to say keep the floating stuff talk about a parkour in players homes lol
Wow…I’m…really looking forward to this.
My only concern/hope right now is that we’ll be able to have different homes saved for different alts, and just have to click a name/title and have it load depending on who we are logged on with. None of my characters will want to share the same aesthetic. But man, this looks freaking amazing thus far.
What? They talk about in the article that you can turn collision off. There’s two decorating modes. One that’s more restrictive, and one that’s basically entirely free form.
This is WAYYYY better than I was expecting. I was thinking garrisons 2.0 with static placement/locations for different objects. Very nice!
Fated patch is meh anyways
same but i can not wait to see players homes decor interior picks lol
I’m also not really sure where they said that?
They mentioned at the launch of world soul saga that the cadence of DF is what we should be expecting, which to me says 3 tiers (including launch) and a fated patch at the end.
midnight is releasing early next year
we got .2 and the patches after that and then straight into midnight. no more fated seasons
Even if true it’s super duper worth it.
Permanent evergreen systems that has endless replayability absolutely trumps an otherwise pointless temporary power grind to make leveling in the next expansion all that easier/faster when it is all but guaranteed to be stupidly fast and easy even if you went in with leveling greens from the past expansion.
as a long time Star Wars Galaxies player I am so glad that I will not have to type out furniture moving commands just to move everything around
I want/need a 3 mile long hallway so that I can display ALL of my minipet collection
This all looks really cool. I’ve wanted to see something like this in WoW for a long time and this looks to fulfill pretty much everything I wanted. Definitely getting Skyrim housing vibes, which was a huge part of why I loved that game so much.
One thing I will note as feedback here is that I think it’s really important to have some functional storage in the house. I think there’s likely a balance that needs to be struck between maintaining the functionality of the bank and having storage in the house, but it would be really cool if you could actually use the bookshelves and chests and all that to house old quest items or books or what have you. I’m super reluctant to throw away books and certain items I worked really hard for or that had a lot of significance (artifact weapons, Heart of Azeroth, Legacy of the Masters book from warlock green fire quest), but they’re not really serving any purpose in my bank at the moment. Currently I throw as much of this nostalgia stuff as I can in my void storage, but of course that doesn’t work for some things, like artifact weapons.
Thanks for the sneak peek, looks like you guys have been putting in some serious work.
Oh my god are you guys about to drop one of the best housing systems in a video game?
This is genuinely impressive!
Jaw drops to the floor.
NOW THIS IS THE KIND OF AWESOME BLIZZARD QUALITY I’M TALKING ABOUT!
i think that was in works but might not be released day 1
eso has a better one both inside and the yards can be customized
I’m really excited for this. Looks pretty neat. And to have so much freedom with customization is amazing.
Guys. This looks amazing. Wtf. I was not expecting this level of customization. My entire guild is having a (happy) meltdown right now.
Question: I know some objects can “lock” to their parent items, but do we have any control over which items get locked together? It would be cool, for instance, if I could make my own items by combining objects together, and saving them so that they stay in that combined format.
Like if I want to put a brush on a stick and lock them together as a toothbrush, can I do that? Or will I always have to move the brush and stick separately and reassemble them afterward?
Also! Can we share permissions with other players? So we can build a home together?
substantial? No, but it should have some MINOR features. The biggest being a mailbox, what kind of house doesn’t have a mailbox? Also it should provide rested EXP. I wouldn’t even mind if it gave more rested EXP than an inn since you know, you own it. Rested EXP is such a minor feature in retail that getting a bit of extra resting wouldn’t break anything.
I personally think it should also have a portal to the current capital city (which would be Silvermoon I think?) Or you can just do Orgrimmar/Stormwind. There needs to be some way to easily leave the neighborhood.
This is looking amazing!!
We NEED to incorporate professions into this. It would be awesome if each profession had dozens of decor itens to craft and even (why not) sell at the AH.
Im sure this feature will grow with time, and I can already see lots of people getting expert in building, creating channels to talk only about the housing system.
Keep it up the good work!
