AV is such a mess

I mean, I was going to respond to this and then I realize you are an undead and have no brain.

Ah, look our not so friendly retail player chiming in.

Man I hope I see you cry babies in AV

Anyone with an invis pot could get back there. That’s not as back breaking as you think it is. It just makes it easier for ANYONE to get back there.

Just try to back door DB and you will fine me there on my Hunter (Emkay). You better hope you survive an AS+MS combo. =P

I’m having a great time fella! I’m steadily farming the rep to get the ring to move on to other things!

Sounds like you are having a fun time as well?

What’s the problem?

I was just thinking how fun it would be to camp the backdoor but then I’d miss the HK farm from the turtle. Since a loss is a loss why prolong the inevitable?

Inb4 Horde like… See you give up! Durr, zug zug!

Well I’m not gonna bash you for having a good time, I hope to see y’all on the field. Will be sure to spam a couple translations just for y’all

Whatever floats your boat. lol.

I dont even care that I am losing honor from the big battle. I have more fun stop’n rogues or anyone else trying to back door jump and taking our towers. When we get the warchief blessing (damage buff) I have 2 shot’d a couple of people. This is on my hunter btw… more fun to able to track people. =)

I’m with you. I may just start this level of trolling, you know they’re trying so hard and they cant beat “30” alliance in the SPGY choke because they have to send out 20 to stop 2 rogues from killing lieutenants.

If there are 30 Alliance in the choke, and Horde send 20 back to kill stealthers, then A should be able to push through the choke and retake SHGY.

Course then you’re just back where you started but hey.

Untrue.

Do you even play this map at all currently?

So, I guess you are just giving up the pretense of arguing in good faith now.

Saying that I am arguing in bad-faith doesn’t make it true. That person really did admit that he’s only there for the ring and then he /afk’s out the moment he’s turn-ins are done…and then he wanted to blame the map instead of leaving.

Sure do!

Untrue.

By the time it gets to SPGY alliance spirit is broken and more then half the team is semi-afk. I’ve tried to get 5 people and push forward but it doesnt matter how long the game as been going for… horde will have 20+ on defense. They can 5-10 back door DB and kill Van with little effort. I mean, 90% of the games end without the AS capped.

PS. I would like to add this wasnt always the case… it started when blizzard in all their glory decided to rework the HK decay. So, now alliance doesnt have a problem not pushing and just fighting for 30+ mins for hks.

Remember when AV first dropped, Horde would get pissed if anyone capped SFGY or SHGY because it forced a turtle and Horde didn’t want that. Now it’s take it or else we lose mentally because the premade teams first forced it on us, then it became part of the meta because our queue times increased. As long as the Horde queue times continue to be in the 60-90 minute range, Horde will continue to scorch earth and farm as many kills as they can to maximize their honor for the time they spend in the queue.

ya. I think we’ve all said the que times help motivate how you want to play the match.

If I’m Blizz, that’s the first thing I fix. Not even the DB backdoor so much as whatever allows Van to be killed with so few. That is likely not authentic to vanilla.

Don’t think it will change much though, between the map imbalance and disparity in queue times Alliance is not likely to win much.

No, pretty much no Alliance that I knew wanted premades killed. I’m sure that if you dig you’ll find a few but most were just fine with people doing what they could to group up and win. It was the Horde that screamed for premades to end.

You must not have been around for the Alliance complaining about this then. Or the Alliance complaining about premades abusing the right-click report function on pugs.

The only comment I could make from this is, the cave did not affect AV until premade teams where abolished from AV. Alliance where winning most matches from start of AV (Horde preferred to lose because of short queue times, hence a lot of the PvE Alliance capped rep and left AV, causing Horde queue times to sky rocket) until late January (when premade teams finally abolished and it was pure pug vs. pug).

As far as playing at a handicap, the Horde played those matches against perfect composition teams that made AV matches for 3-4 weeks. We knew it was going to be a loss but we tried to stop, stall, get as much honor as we could before entering another 30 minute queue. Problem was when we got a 10-15 vs. 40 your pugs, the ones the premade teams refused would take the brunt of the frustration Horde felt.

Alliance are winning. Alliance are getting a hell lot of honor from HKs. However Alliance are maybe winning 30-50% of the matches (depends on time of day) which is a improvement for pugs but not to I guess everyone’s liking. Hell I play about 50 WsG matches a day and I win if I am lucky 9.
