AV is such a mess

Well. That’s an fruitless endeavor because the gear incentive is not going to be removed and that incentive will always trump the actual game play.

No amount of forum discussion will change that.

Forget the map imbalance, horde racial, Shammy versus pallies debates or the que imbalance. (all things that again, you can’t fix with discussion on the forums)

The motivations are broken. I’m there for the ring from rep. Not the PvP. Most players are there for the rep rewards from honor grinding. Not the PvP.

That’s fundamentally going to break your PvP experience. And you can’t change that.

So…play another game or stay frustrated. lol.

It just gets extremely frustrating to have every single Alliance in here admit that they’re basically not trying…and then blaming the map instead of them not trying.

Feel free to disagree with me, but don’t insult me by calling me disingenuous. I am not insulting you for your opinions…but assuming I am in bad faith is poor form.

I’m not trying doesn’t mean I can’t see a fault in the map.

One does not negate the other.

But you shouldn’t care anyways. Enjoy the hollow wins I guess? Or reroll alliance and enjoy playing against players who are trying?

I dunno what to tell ya. This is WoW pvp. This is how it was in vanilla. #nochanges.

My whole point is that it is really hard to judge what is actually imbalanced if the players arn’t actually playing. Maybe the map really is busted…we don’t know because 1 team isn’t trying.

I guess then roll a joke alliance toon and experience it from that side. Then you can make an educated opinion to compare the two sides.

I’ve played both sides. I was horde back in vanilla.

I was an Alliance druid in Vanilla. I’ve been there and we fought and won.

Forgive the awful picture and the photobucket, but here is my old Alliance druid.

Motivations were different in vanilla. Horde had the instant ques and more heavy afkers.

All the ones that were wanting to PVP were farming WSG and AB. And the winning percentages in those maps was very skewed.

Stop saying the alliance doesn’t try. They do.

They probably try harder than the horde who face roll to SHGY without any nuance.

This thread is littered with people saying they’re only in there for the rep and leave when they get their turn-ins or people give up as soon as they’re on the backfoot because its not worth fighting the long game.

Please, read the thread.

Sure we are trying. Right up until those druid hand ins are all done!

And it’s riddled with players who do try. You only see what you want to see. It’s why an honest discussion is not possible with you.

It sounds to me like you’re saying that how people play the map is more important than the map itself?

Have proven this when I last played retail back in 2011, when you had the ability to play on either side when you queued. Even when they changed the map it still played out the same, more people that want to win play harder because of long queue times. There not as many AFK’s or Bot’s on the Horde side because of that, not saying there are none. But it can be extremely toxic when Horde get some that will not follow orders and it causes us to start to lose and even if we are winning it can be just as toxic.

Do you have a full team of people trying? All the way to the bitter end?

You won’t believe the answer unless it fits your narrative so why even ask?

The answer is yes btw.

Are you trying to drag me into a discussion about the stupid map?

Every post in this thread seems to suggest otherwise.

A little bit.

Ok.

Pick any area of the map. What do you want to discuss?

I am of the mind that it is hard to judge the balance of the map at all if one of the teams is full of people not there to try.
