AV is officially dead

Yeah because the map doesn’t favor the Horde at all huh? It still amuses me how delusional some horde are.

AV was one of the things I came back for too, not this nonsense. Before I quit my shaman, AV was meh. I could afk or not do anything and still win. Can wipe 5-6 times at SH and it doesn’t even matter.

Soon as I went full time Alliance and queued it was awful. Premading was fun because you were grouped with people who wanted to pvp. All these people who think removing druid farming will bring players back are mistaken. These alliance who think they’re “pvping” now in AV are part of the issue, they tend to suck and without the real pvpers in there they now blame the rep farmers.

That’s too smart and convenient. Blizzard won’t do it and even if they did the AV premade discords are all dead now thanks to the fix.

Yea, I think a lot of folks think Alliance wants easy victories. I’m sure some folks do, and I’m sure a lot of Horde do also; however, most people who just want to PvP want to go in and have a battle that feels somewhat fair on average.

This has been an ongoing topic of conversation for 6 months, but I think the faction chest thumping is maybe starting to die down and folks are realizing that a balanced AV benefits everybody who wants to play it. A lot of folks said exactly this at the start, but it’s taken time for people to realize this maybe?

But even that wont fix a thing, the problem is the incentives. Alliance has no incentive whatsoever to play an AV (or any bg for that matter) that lasts more than 10 minutes. We get less hph and less rph. As long as PvP population balance remains in a terrible state bgs will as well. We have to start tackling this at the ROOT of the issue and pressuring PvPers to roll/reroll alliance.

Your q times are an advantage if you’re a PvPer and want good games because it weeds out your afks and encourages players to fight for the win. We need to even the playing field on that front before any of these other changes do anything but further compound the problem.

Doesn’t seem that way- you see the same people who have been happy with the change since it happened still wanting nothing done to make the BG fair. The Horde in general doesn’t want to make any concessions or address the issue of why Alliance queue up- they just want Alliance to queue up more even into games with no chance to win or have fun.

To them that’s the problem- Alliance don’t queue for it. BG map imbalance, the cave, racials, faction imbalance aren’t problems to them, and because they aren’t even problems there can’t be a discussion about a fix to them, because you can’t fix what isn’t a problem.

It’s made it impossible to have a discussion with them for the past half year because no matter what reason we try to discuss for WHY Alliance don’t queue, the problem they see is ‘Alliance don’t queue’, and the solution is ‘just queue more’.

And the result has been basically no support from Horde for anything to be done about this, and without Horde support we’ve had half a year of Blizz having no reason to change a thing, hence why this ‘fix’ patch we’re getting for AV has no actual intent of making AV something Alliance will queue for.

Randomize the starting zone of AV. Problem solved.

Perfect words
On point

Alliance will just roll over on the other side of the map because all horde have to do is defend for 10 minutes to make winning the AV not worth alliances time.

And you won plenty. Almost as if you (read: many alliance)… not wanting to win (not bothering to even try) is why you are not winning now? Clearly it wasn’t a huge issue when the bulk of alliance wanted to win. Did I miss a massive overhaul of the map in a ninja patch when premades were killed off?

There you go clinging to your ignorance again.

Many of us have been saying that very same thing, just to receive insults from the alliance forum talking heads.

Horde owned you guys so hard you quit the map. Absolutely beautiful, good thing I don’t need AV rep anymore so I don’t care. PVP in Classic is a joke anyways, sure some parts of it can be fun but overall it’s a crap show.

Yes they did. The horde has won AV, enjoy your spoils and queues.

I don’t have queues cause PVPing on this game is god awful.
If I wanna PVP I’ll go play Albion Online.

You just ignore them when they actually agree on points, like the cave respawn mechanic, just to retain your level of screeching about the backdoors into bases, and when that is fixed you go right on to screeching about something else. Hell, I bet you haven’t even downloaded the PTR client yet.

And then you pretend that horde have a direct line to Bobby K and Ion, like the commissioner to batman.

still alive?

Then what’s the fix huh? Magically inspire tens of thousands of players to try to win only to deter their grinds even further? These are PvE players remember? You can’t make them PvP. The ONLY fix is to put pressure on horde players to reroll. Thats it. Continuing to pander to horde issues is only going to compound the problem.

Albion’s been awesome, tons of players, and lively community. It’s full loot though so expect some toxicity.

i mean if i wanted to play a 2-D EVE Online I’d pick either that or Ultima Online.
