AV is now going to die within the next few days

When that possibility is incredibly remote, why would anyone leave reputation and honor on the table in favor of seeking the jackpot? The priorities are completely natural: get what can be gotten from an otherwise short-handed situation.

Because winning wasn’t an option, reputation farming was.

There is no “good time” when you’re naturally outmanned simply due to the Horde cave.

The map is the source of non-motivation. I’d no more want to play a MOBA that gave one side a consistent gold advantage at the start that people just needed to dramatically outplay to win than AV. I don’t want to play a WSG with one flag in a much easier to access and harder defend location. I don’t want to play an AB where the nodes are lopsided and one side gets a flag that’s inside a building and LoS.

This isn’t some nonsense about having enough motivation to do something, people don’t like starting out on the losing side every single time.

All this would do is make the loser side of the map give up that week, day, weekend, game, whatever, especially if it was random for any given game. Better to cut your losses early and be done so you can maybe get the favorable position next game… just like Strand of the Ancients.

Is it really starting behind though when there is no reinforcement mechanics?

The first fight starts with Alliance NPC there to help you kill the horde, which means you can have less defending as the NPC make up additional power for defending. This means from the start of the game you can have a stealth team going in and still not likely lose your first objectives.

So many alliance see the fight starting on alliance ground as a bad thing and don’t realize some of the benefits it gives them in terms of numbers advantage on the initial clash.

And this is why you lose, you go into the map already giving up.

It’s a self fulfilled prophecy.

Alliance have multiple map advantages but your so focused on what the horde have your not using what you have.

Give a single, viable strategy that does not require 30+ player coordination to execute for the Alliance to pull off and score victory approximately 50% of the time.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Never mind on what I said before…

Why?

Is there any reason that 30+ player coordination shouldn’t be the determining factor? Or even one of many?

Can’t wait for BC arenas.

So I can farm the players who can’t even hit 1700 in arenas.

Atleast they can win AV tho!

It’s the same playerbase.

This part is for real. You have to kill the LT or commander, but if he’s already been killed, you can soak up a few arrow shots on the way there and bandage/heal at the base of the tower out of LoS, then run up and inside to cap.

Name one past the bridge.

-Could it be Stompike GY? Nope doesn’t seem that way we spawn in a choke behind the flag where you can shoot through mountains.
-Is it Stonehearth GY? Nope doesn’t seem that way we spawn in a choke behind the flag with no backdoor.
-Is it meeting at the Field of strife at the same time? Nope doesn’t seem that way looks like Horde have already contested SF for free and are meeting us at Belinda.
-Is it assaulting a tower compared to a bunker? Nope doesn’t seem that way both have an Elite guard that needs to be kited or ccd to cap. You can los archers and cap for both bunkers and towers.
-Is it capping IBGY surely their GY’s must be designed like ours. Nope doesn’t seem that way IBGY has 1 choke point and a completely safe drop off in the back to reinforce or flank.
-Is it summoning Ivus/Lok? Nope doesn’t seem that way our druid summoning stone is placed directly in the line of fire between IBGY and SH AND in the middle of the field of strife, also Ivus bugs and can’t be summoned randomly.
-Is it when we finally cap IBGY while leaving 20+ back to defend SH so we can’t be soft capped and lose? Nope doesn’t seem that way looks like Horde have a convenient GY (cave) right next to IBGY and it resses 20 at a time. Uh oh we lost SHGY guess we’re 2 minutes away from IBGY now.
-Is it FWGY? Nope doesn’t seem that way not boxed in open area to easily contest from cave ressing base ressing or GY ressing.
-Is it RHGY? Nope doesn’t seem that way Horde recall point is pinned directly infront of Drek’s room allowing people to recall into stealth instead of getting auto aggro’d by a capped GY. Archers are just as annoying as DB and reach all the way back to the Flag to get out of combat you need to kill them or run into the graveyard.

So the Alliance advantage is the Bridge and some random 10k hp npcs. Amazing AV is fixed now that we know this. Thank you for helping.

I envy your fortitude, Its like watching someone try to argue with a flat earthier.

I just stopped queuing for AV months ago and honestly? Don’t feel like I am missing much.

You’re not.

The PvP in AV isn’t exactly fun anyway, standing at SHGY while horde Zug Zug into it.

It’s just an aoe fest where most players show 0 skill anyway.

When I did the grind on my hunter when we held druids, I would literally tab viper sting.

Literally 80% of the time if the class could dispell poison on the horde side they ate the full viper sting.

Arenas is where we will see who’s actually good and which has been putting on a show this whole time.

I got my guesses on who’s bad.

Uhh… nah fam… im gonna get that bis offhand.

AV is the least pvp bg you could play. You just AOE with no real interaction. I think the bg is fine how it is. Just let it die no one cares about that garbage place.

Keep telling yourself that, when those who are not going on feels know that the competitive PVPers on alliance side left AV for the faster HPH of the other 2 BGs. You do you though.

If Alliance suck at PvP why are the ratios for wins like they are in WSG and AB?
Because the maps are fair.

I’d love to see the start positions in AV flipped to see all the Horde tears about how the map is unfair when their win rate tanks.

There is no explanation or reasoning for alliance to ever lose the SH battles, less so if they keep SF soft capped

And you have the gall to complain about a low win rate.

No, players like yourself are that source, and you drag down the rest of the teams.

There’s also no reason for alliance to turtle at SH indefinitely anymore which is the only way they’ll hold SH.

This has to be the same player trotting out alts to ask this question repeatedly, while ignoring the answer each time.

Well if horde could provide an actual answer…

No, the map is.
