AV is now going to die within the next few days

Longer queues for you.

It goes back to my earlier post about how Blizzard should be more aggressive with punishing this behavior.

Players not participating in BGs is not the normal no matter how much the rep grinders cry and I refuse to beleive it should be the norm. This is a good change for the health of the game. It’s the player’s own behavior that needs to change, not for Blizzard to maintain a status quo of non-competition.

They were incentivized to get kills and never move forward and complete the win condition

They they might actually be incentivized to win the game for that sweet win rep bonus instead of passively afking at a choke point

They are wrong it’s not the strongest though, if the alliance had a brain they could group up and jump over the mountain and get past most of them, the 100% best choke is literally in your starting cave on top of you. You have literally nowhere to go, leave 10 at Van, and 30 in there and mop up anyone who is spawning.

The boycott was inacted back in jan. yet you only now decide to stop queuing? You were part of the problem for 7 months and why AV was never balanced

many occasions you say yet even in av weekend its nowhere near 50/50

Am I insane or something? People get more mad at you for being upset at BG afkers than the ACTUAL afkers themselves.

No they were incentivized to stall out the game and break the horde spirit, just like the horde was trying back during premades.

You don’t try to win until they give up.

Wont really matter what you are once this patch goes live. You can enjoy the wasteland of bots and cave dwellers. Its amazing that some of you are so blind that you think this will improve things.

People were finishing up their last rep these few weeks so they could be done with the place. The boycott will be 5x as strong now, and youll be here whining that much harder about getting bent over at SHGY as the 30 bots you rode in with autowalk into the horde and die leaving you to fight alone.

its not a choke point if it has a flank. completely abandoning it means ally just lose anyways

Because the afkers are even more prone to flood the queues with the bonus honor and rep

its live already

I would say it’s the area leading to IBGY.

There’s a graveyard with a rear and front exit (so you can escape if trapped in the GY and attack the enemy from behind), right next to the chokepoint.

A tower shoots at all targets trying to pass through the chokepoint (more archers fire than the Alliance bunkers).

Prior to the terrain change, you couldn’t leap past it like you could do so behind the bunker.

Hmm. If that were the approach they took rather than changing the game, I’d probably be okay with it.

Alas, there’s nothing bannable about sitting at a graveyard and farming kills. That’s not AFKing. It’s not griefing. It’s not even “non-participation.” Alas, Blizzard should be doing NOTHING about that behavior.

Really, what should be done, is the original changes to AV that prevented premading should be undone so Alliance can actually bring winning teams into AV again.

Fewer Alliance than ever will queue for this BG. The few that continue to do so despite the constant changes to the BG that are to their detriment will have a worse experience for it.

Good. I look forward to fewer AV threads after the whining dies down. It should have stopped being discussed in January honestly.

Oh they hotfixed it? This will be interesting to see what happens to queues.

To the Horde players always spewing “git gud” go do some research on the many posts analyzing how this BG is extremely lopsided in Hordes favor and stop beating a dead horse with a stick.

Its official, RIP classic AV 7/7 and good riddance. Blizzard, stop wasting your time and energy on “fixes” on dead content and please fix real issues

They do it because of bugged NPCs that allowed for more rep than intended via turn ins. It was bad for players that actually wanted to try and win and thus fixed. So yes, it is an improvement and if those same players would rather not queue up rather than actually play the BG as it was intended, then great. Means I won’t be in their group.

Be upset at bad player mentality, not Blizzard’s attempt to correct it.

Premade strats don’t work anymore so go trying to get a win. The horde have to be bad and under geared for that to be even an oppurtunity

Ah, nothing like the inevitable wave of brainlet Horde coming to tell the Alliance how to win in AV.
