AV is now going to die within the next few days

just because Alliance are trash at pvp (not unusual), doesnt mean its unbalanced. get good. horde just work better together cause of the zerg.

You are missing the point. If horde 1) takes SHGY and then 2) blocks off IWB choke, and then 3) wipes up all alliance south of IWB choke before alliance can hard cap anything, they will win, period. Just because in some battle groups, horde choose not to do this doesn’t mean that this isn’t broken.

Notice, the difference isn’t in what alliance teams do, the difference is in what horde teams do. It isn’t some clever strategy that these alliance teams are implementing that allows them to win. If horde teams in Korea started using that strategy listed above, alliance would have no counter play. That one side can choose to implement a strategy with no counter is the problem.

I mean do you want them to switch it back the other way around where Alliance were winning 99% of AV in original classic, because it was so easy for them?

blizzard could also buff the generals… meaning they cant be cheesed by 10 people while the rest go farm the cave. What if alliance spawned at AS once SPGY was taken… what if horde cave was a last resort res? we would definitely see less rankers in AV as it wouldnt be an auto win then. If you like AV as it is now… then u are horde and like the auto win that it gives.

As he said, both sides are zerging. That has nothing to do with some brilliant alliance strategy and everything to do with the strat horde are using.

Which results in short games with a 50ish win rate.

So many people here who can’t read maps or understand concepts like time and amount.

That’s the nice thing about AV queues, you can relax and do other stuff while you wait.

Maybe you should read things before grabbing your keyboard, like the evidence presented here.

If the strat is zerg vs zerg, yes Alliance can win. If the Horde strat is scorched earth, then not bloody likely.

It meant very little before, and as time goes by it simply means “things that alliance do not like about AV”, or “the meta of taking objectives and holding them that alliance put little to no effort into defending”

IBGY only “comes into play” if there are substantial numbers of horde there to defend it, which if alliance are south of IB or north of IB, HORDE ARE AS WELL. There seems to be a belief that IBGY is magically defended 24/7/360 by horde.

How is horde both acting as an impenetrable barrier at IWB, while simultaneously wiping out alliance in other parts of the map? This absurd defeatist scrambling for excuses is really tiresome.

This just shows you have no idea what the words “scorched earth” mean in terms of AV.

But you’re a cow. Cows don’t know what words mean so I’ll give you a pass.

you forgot " farming the cave while 10 horde kill the boss"

it takes 10 to set up a barrier because of how the hill is designed, the rest of the horde will go down to IBGY to clean up any alliance.

It is taking objectives, killing the enemy, and holding objectives. It is literally playing AV as it was intended to be played.

Why do you keep trotting this out? I’ve never said it wasn’t intended to be played that way - or any way using any strat.

Is something wrong with you? Seriously. I’m kinda’ worried.

Blizzard has made AV utterly unplayable for Alliance. Not only is Horde easy mode for PvP due to racial benefits and shaman, the map essentially ensures they win.

I look forward to Horde getting 5+ hour queues.

If you guys are so good at AV how come horde pugs are so bad in WSG and AB vs ally pugs. Seems odd you guys go from gods to scrubs when you leave AV. Ally pugs win like 60% of the time in the other two bgs vs horde. Can’t possibly be the map in AV tho. :woman_facepalming:

You brought this up in the other thread.
It was once again answered in that thread.
You once again handwaved the answer.

Another wild alt puppet appears!

20 horde block IWB pass can easily hold off a larger number of alliance trying to push through it. 20 horde fighting at IBGY can prevent 30 alliance from hard capping it. Step 1: 30 alliance reach IBGY, 20 horde have been killed along the way to get there. Those 20 horde respawn at cave very shortly after IBGY is soft capped and assault IBGY. They all die, but they’ve killed 7 alliance. They respawn and attack again, 20 horde attacking 23 alliance. They all die but kill 10 alliance. 20 horde respawn again and attack the 13 alliance at IBGY, retaking it well before it hard caps.

Even if IWB choke wasn’t held in this scenario and the northern group of horde was content (for whatever crazy reason) to simply hold SHGY, alliance respawns would be initially coming from SPGY, which is almost 2 minutes away from IBGY, 10 at a time, whereas horde are respawning 20 at a time, 22 seconds away.

And to make it even more ridiculous, even if the alliance are able to hard cap IBGY, those same 20 horde can still beat them just by repeatedly rushing to assault IBGY over and over since they will be respawning 20 at a time and the alliance will be respawning 10 at a time. The horde only need to get 1 kill of alliance for ever 2 kills they take to make it a stalemate - all while 20 horde are free to go on the offensive up north.

To overcome that, the alliance team needs to be substantially better than the horde team. If the teams are roughly equal in gear/skill/comp, there is no chance for alliance to win this war of attrition.

Dude, seriously? You might have a point, if that were a thing that actually happens on a statistically measurable frequency. Fabricating imaginary or rare scenarios is not helping your case. Yeah, if the stars align and you have that many horde running from the cave solely to ib, instead of ib AND fw AND sf AND galv.

And also, if 30 alliance are sitting at ibgy instead of sending the majority further south to soft cap the other 2 GYs and 3 other towers, You are literally making it that much easier for horde to crush you, as you are giving them a single solitary target to focus on. This is where you guys lose, you get such a myopic view of a single objective that you fail to cause the horde to break up into smaller chunks.

TRUST me when I say this: if horde have a variety of things in their territory turning grey then blue, it tosses a huge wrench into any perceived strategy you imagine they have. On the flip side, if there is only one, then you doomed yourself to failure. I don’t know how this can be made any more clear, but I fully expect it to be ignored or handwaved.

go Alliance. it’s instant.

Splitting up south as alliance is one of the worst things you can do, that just makes it easier for horde to pick them off.
