AV Discords are ruining the experience

There’s in-game voice chat? What?

We missed the boat on no changes when they screwed the pooch on server/population/layering during launch. There’s no going back. They need to fix the issues which have resulted from that initial screw up.

Nope.

No changes is an expression of desire, not a description of the game. It is ALWAYS a valid response to a request for changes.

We do not want any changes. Existing changes does not suddenly negate that fact.

Yes yes there is if you look at your chat boxx and lick the speaker icon then click the settings box at the bottom right corner of that you will notice at the bottom of the list that pops up it has VOICE CHAT alternatively you can hit escape go to system at the bottom of that list you know the one that says Graphic, advanced, network, Languages, sound, VOICE CHAT

Things I’ve noticed: it’s more stable, the volume is better. You can use it with people on your Bnet friends list, too, even if you’re playing characters on different factions.

I believe you can have a group (more than one person) chat via Bnet, though I haven’t tried it yet.

If blizzard intended for group queuing to be an option in Alterac Valley, they would’ve just let groups sign up together. The fact that this is getting bi-passed by comms and lower pop’s is an oversight on their part.

It was this way before alliance were even doing premades. After horde quit trying to win the race and a few of us went defense alliance never won another game.

IDK if it would fix “so much”. Just slows down these “AV Discords” from trying, again. It’s not going to stop them from waiting out the 2-5 Minutes. Which wouldn’t this add more to the

? I think your idea is

of your disdain to these “cliques”. But this is just my opinion, and I could be wrong. What do I care about the PvP Community eating itself? :cocktail:

This is really broken right now.

The entire point of AV is that you cannot group queue, so that you have a random group of 40 people who have to work together to win a match. Due to the faction imbalance, the queue times for Alliance make it possible to queue in a fashion so that a large portion of people end up in the same instance.

This is circumventing in game mechanics, and makes for some very lopsided unfun pvp.

Fix it, come up with a solution, and fix it. Either fix the queue timers or something to make peopel queuing at the same time end up in seperate AV’s, or the simplest fix.

Allow group queues. Just do it, the Alliance are already group queuing anyway, why not allow everyone to do the same thing. IT would be limited to single server groups, but you could still get a group to compete with the other pre-made groups.

Fix it, this sucks, not fun.

Fix it.

theres so many games where my horde team is already in the middle while the alliance have about 20 players. the reasoning i can think of this is when i do face premades and see all those rank 10s and rank 11s, the alliance group is filled up almost immediately. When i know its just like 15 players at the beginning and you can see all their ranks being only sergeant or so, then yeah

Incorrect. We want changes. You don’t want changes. We do, and we’ll get them.

Alliance have been winning every game I’ve played today. The premades are becoming more and more pervasive. There’s very little we can do without turtling for two hours.

bro your pc is running the classic experience.

By “we,” I very clearly meant people who don’t want changes.

Use your brain.

How is people working together better ruining the experience? That’s the silliest thing I’ve ever heard.

I like the idea mentioned here about removing the battleground numbers. No more Alterac Valley 58, just display Alterac Valley. Some of these Discord groups have bot commands where players type !57 and it automatically moves them to Alterac Valley 57 Discord channel. This resolves that work around.

As for premade queues, the only solution is to promote faction balance with paid faction changes and temporary faction lockouts. There may be some changes to the queue system that could mitigate the premades to a lesser extent, but it wouldn’t be 100% reliable. The idea is that they create queue servers that will only connect to a select few battleground numbers (hidden at this point). The queue server you connect to would have to be randomized and masked.

By “we” you meant a tiny minority of players. By “we” I meant the majority of people who want the game to be enjoyable. No changes doesn’t apply at this point. They fumbled the launch, there’s no going back. “We” want faction changes and faction lockouts on servers with an unreasonable degree of population dominance by one faction or another.

My server population is balanced. Yet because of cross-realm BGs my wait times are tremendous.

I was initially sympathetic to no changes. Not anymore. And it isn’t your fault, it’s Blizzards.

Source?

The majority of people in the forums and on Reddit right now are advocating for changes. The majority of people in this specific thread are advocating for changes. The majority of people I run into in-game are advocating for changes.

Ah, so anecdotal evidence from what you’ve seen.

Why do you assume they at all represent an actual majority of players?
